After Molly Weasley reports shocking abuse on the part of Petunia and Vernon Dursley, Albus Dumbledore makes an official decision to Turn A Blind Eye. After all, the Dursleys *are* the key to Harry's Blood Wards. Though McGonagall is appalled, she is ultimately unwilling to take a stand against Albus.
Enraged at this dual neglect, Severus Snape decides to take matters into his own hands. Little does he know that his attempts to modify Harry's Blood Wards will result in *accidentally adopting* The Boy Who Lived. Shocked and horrified, Severus is left with no choice but to move forward as best he can. After all, there's no use crying over spilled potions. . .
This fic is set just after the Weasley siblings rescue Harry from the barred window/canned soup/cat flap situation in Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets. It is broadly inspired by many of my favorite Snape/Harry Adoption Fics, which I have gathered into the collection Snape_Harry_FoundFamily. Thanks, all y'all, for creating such delightful fics.

Out of impulse, he makes a deal with Satan–after hearing Satan complaining about how he can't exist in Assiah because he destroys everything he touches, Rin suggests having a small piece of himself in Rin all the time–specifically, his head. Satan agrees as long as Rin doesn't give them away and no one is any the wiser as he starts as a student and Exorcist-in-Training at True Cross Academy.

Harry felt like there wasn’t exactly a point that predated his hell of a summer that he could blame. He could choose to believe it was Dudley’s “Harry Hunting” first, but he wouldn’t have been caught if he hadn’t been having nightmares about Cedric, and Cedric wouldn’t have died if he hadn’t been in that graveyard, and they wouldn’t have been in that graveyard if Harry hadn’t been chosen for the Triwizard Tournament.
And it would just go on and on, backwards in causation ‘til before Harry had even been born.
And fuck, what a mistake that was.

He pauses for a moment at the end of the story. "Young Midoriya, can you tell me about your father?”
Izuku blanches. “I— what? Why?” he demands. But he knows where this is going, he knows what he can do, he just desperately wishes it’s not true.
“You have his quirk, my boy. You have All For One.”
TLDR: One for All forces the manifestation of Izuku's original quirk. The one he inherited from his father.

Quirks: A genetic mutation in the human body first discovered somewhere around 200 years ago. The first recorded case, a young boy whose body began emanating a bright light one day. Before quirks developed humans had always been fascinated with the idea of superpowers. Pre-quirk media portraying everyday superheroes possessing super strength or enhanced speed. Nobody really knows how or why the sudden anatomical evolution came to be. But with time, quirks became commonplace among all walks of society.
Izuku Midoriya patiently awaits the manifestation of his quirk. Thankfully, he doesn't have to wait long. But it's not quite the quirk he expected. Still, it's a quirk. And a cool one at that. Maybe he just should have been more careful with it.

Izuku was feeling depressed and worried after his horrible performance during the entrance exam, so he decided that maybe he needed to clear his mind with a night walk. He definitely didn't expect to meet a certain nocturnal lurker who gave him a strange, warm feeling inside, let alone get involved with pro-heroes and villains alike.
Nor did he expect them to decide that he was worth helping him on his way to becoming the hero he always wanted to be.
Shouta was a man who was guided by reason and logic, so the thought of falling in love sent chills through his back. He had seen the crazy things the pair of lovebirds had gone through for love, and although the two looked happy as hell when they were together, he vowed to himself never become anything like them.
He definitely wasn't prepared to break his promise the day his eyes fell on the boy with the disheveled hair, beautiful green eyes and nervous gestures.
Or
Izuku gets caught in the middle of a criminal case, gets a bunch of pro heroes to help him train and survive U.A, gains questionable friendships and decides that meeting Eraser is the best thing that ever happened to him. And Shouta will see his reason and logic destroyed by his own hands -
