“If I had,” Chris lingers on the words, watching Eddie intently through the screen, “If I had conditions?”
Eddie feels his stomach knot up. It’s the first time Chris has ever alluded to a willingness to come home. Usually he just shoots Eddie down with a flat “I know” before hurrying off the call. Eddie Diaz will be damned before he lets this chance slip through his hands.
“Anything,” his voice rings with desperation in his own ears, “Whatever you need to feel ready to come home. If I can make it happen, I will.”
Chris eyes him, young face serious as a judge presiding over trial. An apt comparison because only Chris could condemn or parole Eddie. His fate is in his son’s hands so completely that if he was going to therapy, Frank would probably be concerned. Finally, Chris opens his mouth and says something so earth shattering as to crack the foundations of his father’s mind.
“Marry Buck,” Chris says firmly.

Willingness was irrelevant which was an important factor considering no one really knew what the King looked like, he lives in legends. Rumors depicted him as a monster, a beast. He was unmatched in war and had the scars to prove it.
The strangest part was that the women who left the castle and went on to be married remembered nothing of their night with him, which only added fuel to the rumors that he was inhuman.

It wasn’t that Gil necessarily wanted to travel Auradon without Harry and Uma, it was just that he hadn’t tested well enough to get into Auradon Prep. So he hit the road with Jay while trying to catch up on his schooling, except King Ben also wanted them to be ambassadors?
It was a lot, and Gil didn’t like being separated from his crew, but at least this new version of Jay was nice, and so were the rest of his friends for some reason. But hey, that was just Auradon, right? Obviously. There was no need to look into the non-stop video chats and surprise visits and overwhelming support when their adventures took an unexpected turn. That was just basic good-guy stuff. It was all fine.

Chad just wanted to go to Ben’s graduation party. He didn’t need to get sidetracked by an Enchantress that felt like teaching him a lesson. Even exhibiting the utmost respect, he still got transformed into a cat with one goal – learn how to accept love and the spell would be broken.
Well, that should be easy-peasy, everyone loved cats, right? Right, so Chad just needed to get some cat-appreciation and bam, the spell would be broken and this would all be a funny story he and Audrey could laugh about in the future.
Except maybe things take a bit longer than expected. Which is less than ideal.
