Summary
Angel turns to The Radio Demon to ask for help in breaking his contract with Valentino. Alastor accepts, but he could never have predicted the consequences that would follow and now he has to wrestle with his entire perception of reality being shattered and the effect it will have on his life as a ghost from his past returns.
(In other words, modern Vox and old Vox are two different people, only no one knows. Alastor, in his pursuit for more power stumbles on the latter who he never thought he would see again.)

Summary
An au in which Vox never made the offer for a partnership and his relationship with Alastor was allowed to bloom into something more.
It takes place in the modern day. Alastor and Vox are secretly in love and they get engaged. Due to the nature of their established rivalry and Alastor's reputation as a heartless, cold-blooded killer, no one believes he agreed to the marriage of his own free will. Under the impression that Vox has hypnotized Alastor, Charlie embarks on a mission to rescue him from the Media Overlord.
Trying to capture a livid Radio Demon who very much does NOT want to be "saved" goes as well as expected.

“I remember this one,” Vox says.
Alastor’s humming stops. Anxiety tastes like acid on the back of Vox's tongue.
“As do I,” Alastor admits.
Vox swallows past the lump in his throat. He can taste smoke in the air, feel Alastor’s hair brushing the edge of his face in his memories.
“Dance with me?” he asks.
Alastor freezes.
Vox freezes.
They stare at each other wordlessly, twin expressions of shock and apprehension.
There are ghosts behind Alastor’s grin. He wonders if Alastor can see the moments that haunt him too, a thousand memories pixelating into a reckless longing reflected in his wide eyes.

Summary
When his name is called he laughs.
Alastor laughs until his throat is raw, until tears begin to form in the corner of his eyes, until he physically can’t anymore and is just a wheezing choking mess, clutching at the side of the stands for support because this is hilarious actually. This is the funniest thing to ever happen to him in his entire life.
There is no greater punchline, after all, than him being reaped for a death arena.
