It's hard being an android out in the cruel and uncaring thermonuclear ravaged wasteland, on the run from your creators and trying not to raise suspicion from the locals to your synthetic nature. The only thing that makes it harder for Hermes is all the ways the cold ferryman's steely gaze makes his knees weak and his processors overheat for some reason. He has to ignore it, though, as between courier work and someone from Hermes' past blowing in to town, he's got a few other things to worry about besides a feeling that is definitely, certainly, absolutely not love.

Anthony Crowley has been struggling in the romance department. His past is a long string of one-night stands and relationships that fizzle out quickly. But it's okay, because he also has his best friends and his preschool-age 'nephew', who are all (and the best) family he ever thought he needed.
Aziraphale Fell has a careful history of first dates who don't call back because, as a preschool teacher, his vocabulary is full of words like 'potty' and 'drat'. But it's okay, because he loves his job teaching preschool, and sometimes the vocabulary just lingers even when you're on the pull.

Rumours even say he's a vampire, but then, they tend to for any sort of hermit. An Alpha hermit, at least.
It doesn't seem like the Omega has much more luck, that is, until the mother of storms breaks loose and settles in and he cannot leave the premises.

After the world ends, Crowley is an alpha trying to pick up the pieces. Aziraphale is a beta who has been forced into being an omega by an illegal process called bitching.
He escapes the hellhole that imprisoned and forced him only to be caught by the group Crowley is with. Crowley bites him if only to keep him safe. He's seen what these alphas do to omegas and he doesn't need one more on his conscience.
Aziraphale challenges him on every turn and even tries to kill him before they strike up some kind of agreement to not be on opposite sides for once. Crowley will get Aziraphale to the city on the west coast where there's a doctor who can possibly reverse the bitching and make him a beta once more and Aziraphale will give him the pup that's growing in his belly-- Crowley's pup. He'll give him the pup and they can separate and never see each other again.
Maybe.
It's a brutal world but these two have survived the end of the world. They can survive what comes next to find their way back to each other.

Summary
Since the beginning of time, there has never been a love deeper and more profound between two beings in all of existence. There's just one problem: the universe will never accept the love between a spit-fire dove and a lonely dragon with a heart of burnished gold.
Anthony the Starmaker and Dove of God, and Azrafael, a crass and surly dragon-demon who refuses to align himself with any of Lucifer's many legions, have been created to stand on opposites sides of the warring factions between Heaven and Hell. But neither Heaven nor Hell could have ever anticipated how deeply these two polar-opposite beings would fall in love with each other, nor how hard the two would fight together to protect the things they love the most...
