The light from his torch hovers over the mouldy floor, up the peeling wallpaper of the dirty hotel as he steps out of the room and faces the hallway that seems to call his name.A feeling.

Summary
Hwang In-ho lets out a shout as the bullet slices through his skin. His left shoulder burns as his right reaches up to clutch it. His knees cracking with a loud thump as he falls to the ground. Hunched over as his breath roars out of him in pants. Every sound around him is muffled as his head throbs from the impact. Heart racing as red-hot pain seers through him. He’s been hurt before, surviving Squid Game requires ounces of blood sacrifice, including your own. But even the years of heart-numbing that comes from being the Frontman couldn't make him immune to the pain of being shot, even if it is just a slice through the muscle from a stray bullet.

Summary
An Alternate Universe where Gi-hun decided to never rejoin the Squidgames in season 1 when his daughter shows up on his front steps, because of this he effectively convinces Sang-woo to stay behind. Inadvertadly making sure that Ali and Sae-byeok survive to the final game, where they both decide to quit the game because Ali wants to save Sae-Byeok from the glass in her side.
How will Gi-hun save his mother from dying, help Sang-woo, Ali and Sae-byeok, fix his relationship with his daugther and pay back all his debt to the loansharks out for his life?
