The first time Peter remembered laying tefillin was with Uncle Ben. He was fifteen and had just come out as a man to his aunt and uncle. It had taken some convincing but he remembered being woken up in time for the morning prayers and his uncle instructed him on how to wrap the straps to make the ‘shin’ on his arm, wrapped the tallis over his shoulders, and he prayed as a man would for the first time. He rode that high for months afterward.

Dad goes on TV and tells the world that Spider-woman killed a kid who ate at his table, and tells police to find her and bring her to justice. All the while Spider-woman is sleeping in the bedroom across from him and hides her costume in a drum set that he paid for.
He even helps Spider-woman take down her pride flag and set it on the dining table.
"What are we writing?" he asks when Gwen brings out the fabric marker. "Trans rights are human rights?"
"No," she answers. "Here, I'll show you."
She wants to tell him then: take out the mask or crawl on the ceiling or something, as he's writing PROTECT TRANS KIDS just so Dad knows that he's telling the world to point a gun at his trans kid.
