Summary
Being from two completely different walks of life, it was only a matter of time before a simple misunderstanding passed between Viktor and Jayce. It all started with Jayce bringing Viktor a meal; a clear courting gesture in Zaun, but in Piltover, must be a simple gift between friends. If it was only one time, Viktor could brush it off as coincidence, but the gestures continue and Viktor can’t bring himself to explain the meaning to Jayce, too caught up in how each and every one makes him feel warm inside. How can he tell Jayce these gestures in Zaun are saved for people you are in love with when he can’t stop hoping that Jayce somehow already knows? Somehow, Viktor needs to find the bravery to explain it all to Jayce, or continue silently pining.

Jayce has to decide if he wants to go back to Piltover or if he wants to stay and defend Zaun.

Tooru licks the icing from his pointer finger and looks over his shoulder at Hajime, pouting. Coy. Twenty-eight definitely isn’t thirty—the way Hajime’s body reacts to the sight makes him feel seventeen all over again. “I really don’t know why you still play nice with him.”
Hajime laughs at that, breathy. God, he loves Tooru. “Come on, baby,” he says. It’s not just placation when he admits, “You know I don’t like him either.”

Good morning, Wakatoshi-kun! Isn’t it such a beautiful autumn day today?
They chatted every day before class; Tendou vivid and excitable, Ushijima muted, but still enjoying himself. Except today, when Tendou had sprinted into class just moments before the lecture began, his cheeks flushed with exertion. He flashed Ushijima a bright smile as he slid into his seat, opened his mouth to say something, and was promptly cut off by the start of the lecture.
Not to be deterred, Tendou had written a note instead.
Ushijima feels silly. It takes him a while to decide on a response that doesn’t make him feel even sillier.
Yes, it is a nice day.

The drugs wear off. Which is good, because Jayce was ready to crawl his way back to Zaun just to punch Viktor in the throat. Upon reflection, that was likely an overreaction. More importantly, it was undignified. Jayce still has to wait for himself to heal.
He's going to walk back to Zaun to punch Viktor in the throat.
