At first, Nightmare couldn't care less about anyone. As long as they didn't bother him, he didn't do the same to him.
But oh, he was so naïve at first.
Those poor little things.. Jeez, he just wanted to wipe the bitchy humans off the face of the Earth if he could, but he knew that some of who he was fond for would have gotten hungry if so, without any tasty little humans to devour.
Honestly, he felt awful for the ones treated unjust.
The ones who were just outside of the range of perfection, and shoved out into imperfection.
This pathetic world was absolutely flawed, and as much as he wished to reign Hell upon the corrupt, his brother would've been disappointed, having grown a liking towards the humans overall, but he was almost like a fucking angel, and he bet that if it was possible, he would've sprouted those pure white wings out of his back and glowed even brighter than he did normally.
Now.. What were we, is the question some might ask.
We were what some people refer to as the Fae, or The Fair Folk.

In all honesty? He hadn't seen Killer's appeal of Cross at all. He just seemed like another new guy who he probably wouldn't get to know all that much. And then he started to notice how much he cared about others opinions, and he seemed willing to do almost anything for his teammates and boss, not to mention how trusting and honest he was.
He couldn't lie, he was a bit nice to play around with. Tense, strict, and kind of stubborn at first, but really he's just a huge softie. 'Another mother hen' as Killer puts it, but easy to convince to do certain things.
Before he knew it, he'd almost giggle, hiding the amusing smile behind his hand at the small little slip-up Cross had made, watching as he awkwardly got himself back on his feet, face flushed with embarrassment. Though, Killer wasn't as well-mannered, wheezing out and disrupting the meeting we just were having.
