Summary
After the end of the first war, Remus goes to New Orleans to forget.
Sirius turned his head, then, and fixed Remus with a look, cool and sharp and half-in-shadow. One corner of his mouth curled, and one eyebrow cocked, as if to say, I see you, Moony. Trying not to look.
It had taken until the end of sixth year before he could let himself think about why it was so hard to keep his eyes to himself. The back of Sirius's long graceful neck in detentions, the trail of black hairs down his stomach when his shirt lifted as he stretched. There was something mythical about him, chiseled and marble-white like an ancient statue; something remote in the same way too. Remus wanted to touch him—in the way one wants to touch a fine work of art. In the way one almost wants to rend it with his hands and eat it.
God, Remus had thought. Something else wrong with me. Something else I can never let anyone find out.

Summary
I have written a lot of fanfic about Remus Lupin. Many of the one-shots are short and not of high quality; I decided it would be easier to store them all in one place. These are being copied over from an archive; sorry if updates keep popping up.

Summary
He remembers when he first heard him, and how he'd been quite unable to do much of anything other than sit there in the stalls in awe as he watched the choir's rehearsal play out, a fourth year pianist accompanying a devastating solo from Remus that had every student and teacher holding their breath. The sheer depth of it; the way it seemed to reverberate through the ancient boards of the very stage itself, from somewhere primal and secret inside him. And how it seemed to take him no effort whatsoever, and how his presence felt no less monumental for it.
A winter term at The Ullswater Institute: late-night rehearsals, dormitory karaoke, and secrets, kept in the labyrinthine corridors underneath the cavernous, frescoed auditorium.

Summary
1985. Four years after the death of his friends, Remus decides to break out of the pattern of his post-war life and try living among Muggles. In a sleepy town in southern England and the bustling city of London, he tries to build a new life for himself, piece by piece. The more he sees of the Muggle world, the more Remus wonders if that structure is as stable as he would like to think it is.
“The Survivor” is set in Thatcherite Britain, in the wake of the Falklands War and the onset of the British AIDS epidemic. It explores themes of disease, stigma, war trauma and grief, reflecting both on the historical context of the 1980s and Rowling’s characterisation of Remus Lupin.
