The first time Ed got writing on his arm from his soulmate, it was a little drawing of a daisy on the inside of his wrist, like a secret kept just below where a long-sleeve would fall.
He may be six, but he knew what was good, and this flower was really good.

Summary
Ed looks down, ready to get on with things, and he startles. He’s—Stede—this fucking guy has shoved his hand through the hole in the wall, fingers lined up and thumb out like he’s—nah—he wants to—
“Are you trying to shake hands?”
“Yes, I thought—”
Ed blinks. “Through a glory hole?”
“Oh Christ,” the man allegedly named Stede says, “I’ve messed this up already, haven’t I? I’m so sorry, Jeff, just forget I—hang on—damn.”
It's a glory hole meet-cute! Multiple chapters of Ed and Stede falling in love through a hole in a bathroom wall. Sex, feelings, pining, bad decisions -- all contained within. Now COMPLETE.

Summary
Ed watches. Feels the warmth of Stede’s touch and the warmth of the rum, feels the featherlight pass of Stede’s thumb over his pulse.
“Of course,” Stede says, and Ed looks up to see a flicker of a naughty schoolboy smirk sweep across his features, “there is one particular downside to taking it slow."
And the fucking dork waggles his eyebrows. Awful. Just appalling.
It doesn’t not work for Ed.
Ed and Stede fail at taking it slow, after Season 2 Episode 5.

Summary
If this man lives— which Ed has no intention of allowing to happen— he could start a whole fresh horror story, could tour the seas telling this brand-new tale about Blackbeard’s specific brand of savage violence. This time, it would even be entirely fucking true.
This time, it won’t be Izzy that kills a man for him, or the flames of a fire, or the blow of a fall. It won’t be committed from a distance, and it won’t be an experience-twice-removed, and it won’t be outsourced to somebody else. It won’t be an accident; it won’t be a legend; it won’t be a mistake, or an exaggeration, or just another myth that sailors tell each other for scares late at night.
It won’t be a technicality that kills the man that killed Stede Bonnet. It’ll be Ed.
or: ed and stede are ambushed, and ed thinks he sees stede die. he doesn't, of course, but ed doesn't know that.

Summary
How it kept happening, Ed didn’t know. But for some reason, every deity of luck had decided that he got to see Stede Bonnet almost every time they made landfall.
He didn’t know what he had done to deserve this—maybe the universe was rewarding him for saving the world in a previous life or trying to make it up to him for his childhood—but he was not going to complain.

Summary
“Thank you, by the way,” Stede adds, even though his heart is sort of in his throat about it. It’s not that he thinks it was wrong of Ed to punch the guy, or that he’s not grateful to be defended so fiercely. He loves when Ed gets all huffy and protective. It just feels a little different when your best friend punches a man into the appetizer table for insulting you and you also know you’ve been in love with him for thirty years. (The best friend, not the appetizer man.)
It’s also hard not to feel just a little guilty about the whole thing when you’re on your knees in the bathroom with a first aid kit spilled around you, watching that best friend’s face pinch up in an attempt not to wince when you first take his hand in yours.

Summary
"If I may understand," Stede asks, "your objection isn't that we're doing this, it's that we're doing this in your car?"
“Well,” Ed whines, high and pitchy in his throat, at the notion of Izzy being thrown around in the back of his car, “yeah.”
A groan sounds from Stede’s lap (Izzy’s face is out of the rearview, but Ed can visualize his annoyance so clearly), “Are you fucking kidding, Edward—”
“Israel,” Stede chides with a sharp snap of his eyes upward, likely angling Izzy to look at him.
“What’s the point of having ‘fuck me’ red vinyl seats and the most— ah shit— p-pornographic car in the world without actually fucking in it?”Series

Summary
It had started completely innocently.
Ed had simply decided he was rather sick of Stede paying more attention to the television than to him on a Saturday afternoon, and had flopped onto the couch beside him, draping himself over Stede’s lap. Although, maybe Ed didn’t need to be quite so demanding about it, considering how ‘malicious compliance’ was practically his husband’s entire brand.
Plus, Stede is rather excellent at driving Ed out of his goddamn mind without adding the element of brat-tamer into the mix, so when he does step into his dominant side, it often ends with Ed half-delirious, begging for Stede to–
“Please, baby, please let me come.”

Summary
A year ago, he would not have been able to picture that this is what his life is now, having a front row seat to the content that had been his dirtiest of dirty little secrets for so very long. But now, he's behind the camera with his own cock in his hand while his boyfriend, his boyfriend, puts on the performance of a fucking lifetime three nights a week. Three times. Thrice. In one week. Every week. For the last six months.
Ed wants in.

Summary
Ed has never worn lingerie like this before. They’ve dabbled with wearing stockings- both of them have, in fact, and enjoyed it- and they’d discussed the possibility of taking it further, but Stede had no idea… not a clue that Ed would… that he’d…
Stede reaches up for the edge of the robe, and Ed gently jerks away from his grasp. Stede barely manages to catch himself before he topples forwards into the carpet.
“Ah-ah,” Ed chides, the ghost of a smile playing on his lips. “No touching.”

Summary
Palaeontologist Ed Teach is the foremost expert in his field, working on the same digs for decades. When billionaire Stede Bonnet appears at his site asking him to visit a new dinosaur theme park to give his endorsement, he doesn't know what to expect. But he needs the funding, so he reluctantly agrees.
The last thing he imagined he’d find at Jurassic Park was actual living dinosaurs. The next last thing was Stede himself, palaeobotanist and heir to the company that owns the park. He’s been tasked with showing Ed around the lost world he helped to create, and winning him over.
Stede’s charming, sure, and enthusiastic, and his passion for all the things Ed loves brings back a spark that’s long been lost. But nothing is as it seems, and as a storm closes in and chaos descends on the island, Ed’s about to discover that Stede has very different plans to his father. Then again, Ed's got different plans of his own.
First, they’ll have to survive.
Then, they’ll have to escape.
And then they can find a way for the past and the future to exist together.Life… finds a way. Ed and Stede find their way together, too, along with the whole crew.

Summary
"Blackbeard's had his turn. Tell me what Ed likes about all of this."
"Some of it's the same," Ed says, reaching past Stede to hook his fingers through the leather garters he wore that first night they went to the arcades. "How it looks, feels. How sometimes it's like a secret handshake or something. Like when you see someone wearing the same band shirt in the street and you think oh shit, yeah, the world is actually pretty small, and people share things. I always liked that."
Just two not-boyfriends trying to figure out what they like.

Summary
The thing is, he can see the way Jack is looking at Stede. Recognizes the lecherous hunger in his gaze. And sure, it makes him a little uncomfortable, in some way he can’t really explain. A kind of prickling under his skin. But he’s resigned himself to that being another thing he has to apologize to Stede for, when…
Stede laughs at one of Jack’s jokes.
It’s not even a particularly funny joke. Something about three drunk men and a roast chicken. The rest of the crew is chuckling along, caught up in the rum and the strange spell of idiocy that Jack seems to cast on everyone around him (including, right up until this moment, Ed). But Stede actually, properly laughs, a delighted peal that only ever bursts out of him when Ed has said something Stede thinks is especially funny. He loves that laugh, feels proud of himself every time he hears it.
He doesn’t love it now.
