Summary
I've read so many of these different chatfics for Blue Lock, and I just adored them so much! So, of course I had to give it a go and get my own spin off of it. I'm really inspired to capture the essence of teenage life in school, with shenanigans, stress from school work, and also taking the mick out of each other.
A little snippet here:
The rose-coloured haired boy beside him pulled out two Taiyakis (Taiyaki is a small fish-shaped snack with a sweet filling inside). He handed one to Isagi.
Chigiri- “Here. These are the last ones I have.”
Isagi- “Oh- thanks Chigiri, wait- if these are the last ones how many did u buy- “
Chigiri- “shh- that’s not the point. Now take it dumbass”

Summary
Rin is drowning; Sae, his parents, the expectations and desperation he imposed on himself to be the very best and finally prove himself to be worth something, anything, were really starting to take its toll… and the U-20 match had been the final crack in Rin’s already sinking boat, in the only thing keeping him afloat and safe from the tumulus waves of emotions crashing around in his mind like a never-ending storm. Day by day, each cold, dismissive glance, each sharp, biting word from what-used-to-be his older brother’s unloving, uncaring mouth continued to chip and crack away at Rin’s mind… and, at some point, the prospect of simply being swept away and forever-submerged by the tides stopped seeming so daunting.

Eight years had passed since Felix delivered the miraculous straight to Shadowmoth. What felt like the end of the world at the time had become just another date in the history books. The things that had changed, though, left the greatest impact. Lila's lies were finally exposed, and friends were forgiven in the aftermath. Battles had been won and miraculous had been recovered, causing Monarch to keep those he still had close to his chest. Most of all though, Chloe Bourgeois had completely turned her life around. It was a long and difficult process, but after basically disowning her own mother, apologizing to those she'd hurt, returning as Queen Bee, and starting a relationship with the girl of her dreams, many who knew Chloe Bourgeois during collège would hardly recognize her. Then, more than any other time in her life, Chloe was happy.

Better uses of the stuffed doll include tennis ball replacement, chew toy, or fireplace fuel, which is exactly why Isagi finds himself... with a new embarrassing hobby?
At the same time, the real Kaiser can't help but notice the way Yoichi barely reacts to his teasing anymore, too busy smiling at something on his damn phone. He can't seem to figure out why Yoichi hasn't been acting himself lately—or why it's pissing him off so much.

Kaiser expected that. He has heard many variations of “shut up” from the dark haired boy whenever he said anything. He would go as far as finding it adorable sometimes.
But what he did not expect was that Isagi pushed him with his right foot on Kaiser’s chest, laying him down on his back, his head hitting the artificial turf under him. Kaiser felt the studs of Isagi’s cleat pressing onto his skin, and Isagi stayed in the position.

Itoshi Rin had been drowning; To anyone searching, it would be a painfully obvious fact. Abandonment, betrayal, isolation… the multi-layered suffering he had endured on the average had manifested into that of merciless, ever-raging waves that tore-away at his already-battered, weary heart… and, in the end, the storm had been too relentless to weather.
Itoshi Sae had an unfaltering resolve and philosophy comparable to an eternal-winter; both heart and mind alike were an impenetrable fortress of cool-detachment and utter-apathy, the polar opposite of his little-brother… but, after a silent, frigid night of regret, grief, and irreversible-loss, the realization that the isolation and icy-facade he’d been working so meticulously to uphold had been but a far cry of what it meant to be truly isolated within the confines of a barren, frozen wasteland… but, by the time he’d become aware of this fact, it had been far too late.

Summary
Rin is missing, whether dead or alive, buried or burned, he is missing. No amount of fame, glory, or stadium lights can save someone who is willing to drown. And Sae is forced to confront the one thing he's spent his entire life denying: the price of disowning blood... can only be paid in blood.
OR: Maybe, just maybe, he's been looking in the wrong direction all along, chasing something that would never give him peace. Maybe it was never Rin who was gone. Maybe it was him all this time.
