    “Dying,” he whispers back.

    What — is he — oh, no. This has gone way beyond her oath now. Fine, she swore she’d keep him alive, but after what she saw this morning… he does have some of that fire in him left. And he does want to get out of this. And he doesn’t deserve such an undignified death. Not a swordsman like that, not a man who could fight like that, not a man whose eyes were so bright even when chained inside a dirty dungeon. Not a man who had the guts to try and steal that sword.

    “No,” Brienne urges him, “no, you must live.”

    “Stop telling me what do, wench. I’ll die if it pleases me.” He sounds like he’s done for, and like he has lost everything he had going for him, and gods, she gets it, she gets it, but — no. She can’t let him give up. She won’t. She never would have gone anywhere if she let that feeling get to her and he’s certainly not done for, handless or not.

    NOTE: the events that happen in my story are not necessarily in the order in which they happen in the series or books. I am going to lead the story away from the original anyway.

During her first time there, she meets a man who runs the theater; a man with the same air of mystery as Humphrey Bogart and who has a love for old Hollywood, just like her. As the weeks go by and her father shows no signs of recovering, Arya spends more and more time at the theater and with the man, Jaqen H'ghar, becoming more enveloped in a world of dashing men, beautifully timed shots, and unrelenting, unapologetic hope.

    The swordfighting dance was one they both easily got lost in; it was an ability they shared. A trusted instinct which had served to preserve their lives amidst the battles fought, but made them both unaware of anything which wasn’t the ringing of the blood in their ears, the clang of metal against metal, and the rush of the wind as their swords moved and danced along with them.

    They became immune to the surroundings sounds, which was why neither heard the oncoming snickers or the rustling of leaves, alerting them of a nearing presence.

Only, for how long can he keep them locked up there? Though, resurfacing memories aren't his only problem: His travel companions are all but trustworthy, and there is that particularly stupid Bull, who suddenly follows him around like a shadow. Is that one simply too dim-witted to get that Arry wants to be left alone, or what is he really up to?
