Summary
That son of his was…different. Too perceptive sometimes, too oblivious others. Knew too much sometimes, too little others. Defiant and yet respectful, impertinent yet polite. He was a walking contradiction, it seemed. Oh, but he was a true son of the sea, that much was for certain.
Percy Jackson was an enigma. Even before she’d met him, before she’d realized what he was to Apollo, Artemis had known that he was…different.
That Percy Jackson boy was…interesting. Too smart sometimes, too perceptive sometimes, too secretive. Too disrespectful, certainly.
A series of first impressions and a little bit of godly perspective on the events of the books. Or, alternatively: Percy Jackson being literally impossible to hate for however many chapters.

Summary
Percy knew it wasn’t a good idea for him to accompany Thalia and Annabeth to Westover Hall. He couldn’t explain it to them—not without spilling a whole host of secrets—but a feeling of cold dread filled his bones every time he thought about their upcoming trip.
Not to mention, Percy’s dreams the week leading up to the mission had been full of snowy cliffs and long falls in which he always woke before he hit the ground. The two children of Hades crouched on the edge of the cliff, cowering from something Percy never managed to see. He always saw himself, though, placing himself between the two demigods and whatever had them trapped on the edge of a cliff.
Every dream ended with a fall, and Percy woke up sure he was about to smash into the ground hard enough to break every bone in his body.
Nothing good would come from Westover Hall, Percy knew, but Grover had asked for help, and Percy could never ignore a friend in need.
He was beginning to think he should learn how to, though.

When his quirk first appeared, Midoriya Izuku had learned that all men were not created equal. Some were born into this world lucky and others were born into it unlucky. He also learned that he was one of those born unlucky. It would be hard not to be, considering his quirk was a Jinx.
When the weight of his misfortune became too heavy to carry, Izuku was pushed over the edge. Only for another boy with a different "villain quirk" to pull him back over. Together, the both of them move forward trying to prove to the society that not everything painted in a black light is bad.
The real question is whether or not Izuku can prove that to himself first.

Summary
Torse had fought as a necessity to his survival but he knew it was different for Maxwell. His human warrior craved the feeling of grappling and punching his fellow man; and craved the thrill of victory. The respectable Umanzi pit gave him some of that thrill, but Torse could tell that he craved more.

Torse did not consider himself a being with an ego. If asked what he thought of himself, his response would earn him pitying looks. However, he’d watched Maxwell fight countless others, both in friendly spars and in matches to the death, and never had he looked at another opponent with such intensity that it made the air feel as heavy as it did between them.

After the crew lands in Zumhara and the Wind Riders have headed into the city, Torse goes in search of somewhere he can process everything, away from prying eyes. He does not process very well, but he's trying.
Maxwell experiences a perfectly justifiable level of mortal terror when he returns to find his friend missing, and overt declarations of lifelong devotion after 2 weeks of knowing each other is actually kind of a slow burn for Zood, okay?

“Why would she...? Oh.” Maxwell stiffens, then blows out a breath. He reaches past Torse’s mantle to clasp his neck, tucks them firmly together, and rhythmically brushes thumb across his vulnerable nape. “Oh, Torse.”His friend’s comfort breaks the dam. “What drove her to save me, when she was comfortable condemning so many to destruction? What had she found worthy of salvation within me that she deemed the rest of my homeworld to be lacking? Why am I not taken apart in the Amphereon, or walking as one of the Naughtomata, or lining the throat of that vile beast?”
Maxwell goes rigid.

Even if half the assertions made by the crew are complete nonsense, Torse can’t help but ponder over Marya’s offhand comments.
“Everyone gets cabin fever on a long voyage eventually! But really, if anyone needs to get laid, it’s Maxwell.”
Admittedly, Torse is still on shaky ground when it comes to understanding Gathie biology. What if Marya’s comment points to a more serious issue? Does sex fall into the same category as food and water and sleep? Do Gathies get sick if they go too long without sex? This ‘cabin fever’ that Marya spoke of? He’s starting to get slightly concerned for Maxwell’s wellbeing.
