“Elrond,” the Fëanorian said in a gentle voice, “that’s a crab.”
Elrond is convinced he has found Maglor, or at least all that is left of him, in the form of a crab. His friends and family are not so sure.

And not ‘alive in the halls of Mandos,’ either – he’s alive alive. His entrails are still in his body, no spear-wound in sight, not even a scar when he can’t stop himself from grasping at the phantom pain.-

Summary
On the morning of the twenty-sixth of February in the year ninety-one of the Fourth Age, Dwalin, Son of Fundin, died.
On the evening of the twenty sixth of April in the year two thousand nine hundred and forty-one of the Third Age, it became quickly apparent that death was only a minor inconvenience.
Dwalin has another plan this time around. One that involves returning a certain piece of evil jewellery directly to sender before Sauron gains a foothold on Middle Earth. Maybe it’ll save a few people he cares about. Maybe he’ll get a little longer with his husband.
And maybe, just maybe, he’s not the only one doing this a second time over.
Split POV, plenty of Nwalin, Gigolas and Bagginshield.

Mae govannen na in-ennyn eryn! (Well met at the gates of the forest!)
Our story? A disenchanted NYC lawyer moves to rural Ireland, unintentionally entangling herself with the Wood-Elves of Hobbit fame that never departed Middle-earth. An Irish ex-con plus colorful friends soon follow and life is never the same. The deeds and achievements of the younger race of Men in all their splendor and horror unveil to the ancient, immortal and arguably stagnated race of Elves, leaving much to be explored of society, history, culture and beyond. More than two decades’ story time tell a tale of social collapse, families that grow under one very large roof, battles against past and present traumas, prejudices, and the slow return of the great First Age Elves to the light of day. Eru Ilúvatar had a plan for this world of Arda. Tolkien never elaborated. So a little voice said: "Go finish the Ainulindalë." And we respectively said: "Okay. I need tea."This fic has a Discord server, Aran Thranduil's Dining Hall. All readers are welcome: https://discord.gg/ywxmuHpXba . We lurk mostly 10am to 10pm Pacific Standard Time. Link not working? Summary
Galadriel swears that Elrond looks just like Turgon. Celeborn wouldn’t know. Sometimes he sees a glimpse of Eärendil in him, so he supposes that must be from Turgon, but really Elrond looks like Elwing, and even more than that he looks like Dior. He supposes Elrond has no way of knowing that. He’s probably been told countless times that spitting image of each Finwean prince, but there has been no one to tell him that he looks more like a brief-lived Sindarin king than any Noldo. Sometimes it is uncanny, and Celeborn’s heart leaps, thinking for a moment that Dior is alive.
And then he sees Elrond’s Noldorin braids, and hears his lilting voice speaking Quenya, and sees his fingers and wrists bejeweled with rings and bracelets, and the illusion is gone.

Summary
This series is just a collection of my favorites of the stories I've written (and separately posted) about Elrond in the First Age, Second Age, and Early Third Age.
I love 'young Elrond' stories, so I thought that other people might, too, and might appreciate being able to find my stories about a younger Elrond in one place.
These stories are roughly in chronological order.
Regarding the length of the twins’ fosterage with the Sons of Feanor, I have them only spending a few years with them at Amon Ereb, before Maedhros and Maglor decide that they will be safer on the Isle of Balar. At that point, they arrange for a parley with Cirdan, and deliver the twins to his care. So, the twins grow up from the age of eight or so on the Isle of Balar, under the care of Cirdan, Ereinion, Galadriel, Celeborn, and sometimes Amdir. Then later, during the early years of the War of Wrath, Ereinion sent the twins (who were impatient to join the fighting) to be his ambassadors to the Sons of Feanor during a series of secret meetings for the purpose of exchanging intelligence.

Summary
All Finrod knew was that he loved and cared for them so as he watched them reach the heights of glory from the ground up, in ways that no other Eldar ever could and would. They rose from the flames and took on the fire within themselves, and Finrod had wanted so desperately to touch, to feel, to hold them at his breast and cradle that heat deep within the crevices of his heart.
More than anything, he wanted to be there with them, to be the person they turned to when they needed comfort and care, when grief would turn to laughter, when sadness would turn to love—as their guardian, their caretaker, their family… their lover. The desire and longing were so strong that he made an effort to pull away as far as he could take himself, building towers on an island, a city under the mountains, all so he could hide and nurse his heartbreak on his own time.
He was not as valiant as his cousin, after all.
Finrod has comfortably settled into a life filled with unrequited love. Sooner or later, he'll find that, against all odds, Fingon and Maedhros still have a lot of love left to give.
