Will they learn to use their words and ask for what they want? More importantly, will they believe they deserve the love the want? Only time will tell. (Or you could read the tags. The answer is spoiled in the tags ;) But they will take some time to get there and there will be much caretaking along the way along as we explore ABO dynamics with some slightly complicated but fun twists.)

Summary
In The Avengers, Natasha Romanova says "Love is for children." It's an expression of life as she knows it, and fits the harsh background most of the Avengers have experienced. Trouble is, people don't do very well without love. In particular it's impossible to form a good team if the members don't care about each other.
So Phil Coulson comes up with a teambuilding exercise to resolve that problem. If love is for children ... then he'll arrange that experience for them. The result is an exploration of nonsexual ageplay to allow a group of very powerful, very broken people to patch up some of the gaps in their lives.
Most of the stories are very sweet in tone and make for good comfort reading. However, canon gives these characters some very unpleasant pasts, and that comes up as they process the aftermath. So the tone does vary, and some stories are more intense than others. They deal with different characters, relationships, and sensitive issues.
Some folks have avoided this series for fear that it goes into sexual territory; it doesn't. Same with embarrassment, very low on that.

Summary
Once upon a time, River Song was lost. Only nothing and no one is ever truly lost. They're just waiting to be found.
Clint Barton and Phil Coulson found River and brought her into SHIELD. The result would be one of the best teams in the organization's history. With her new partners, River will fight criminals and terrorists, come to terms with her convoluted past, travel Time and Space, and even help save the world.
It was probably inevitable. Her mother did say she'd be a superhero.
Disclaimer: During a misspent week in September 2012 I mainlined the Avengers and Doctor Who until my brain managed to superimpose River Song and Natasha Romanoff and fuse them into one character. Then she started dictating. Before I knew it, Clint Barton and Phil Coulson had elbowed their way in. That's how this AU 'verse came to be. It's involved some tweaked timelines, altered plot points, a ton of original back story for River, and a lot of fun on my part. I'm having a ball playing in Marvel's and Moffat's sandboxes (and making no money).

Summary
Six years ago, without the Avengers Initiative there to save the day, scientist Dr. Eric Selvig sacrificed himself to save the world, the almighty demi-god Thor was lost to a terrible storm, and vigilante Iron Man – spotted with a nuclear weapon trying to take advantage of the situation – was forever labelled an enemy of SHIELD.
This is a comic book office AU, where Steve is defrosted a year too late, Thor has forgotten who he is, and no one knows Tony is Iron Man.
Also includes: office pranks, inappropriate post-it notes, and superheroes who like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain.

Tony offers Bruce something he hasn't had in a long time and then slowly includes the rest of the Avengers. And from there to family no one knew they had. Tony isn't sure what to call the resulting group of people calling his tower home. Clint simply calls it ohana.
The main timeline is parts one through seven.
Part eight is a side story and can be read alone from the main timeline.

“We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today.” -Stacia Tauscher
When an Avenger gets hit by a de-aging ray, there is a certain way the story is supposed to go: lots of cuteness, lots of aawwwww, the now-young Avenger thwarting the bad guy, and warm fuzzies all around.
Instead, when Phil Coulson is reduced to a four-year-old child, he is confined to SHIELD headquarters for his own good. And the Avenger with arguably the least (or worst) experience with family is the one "best" suited to look after him – Clint Barton.

There's angst, and the humor's bad, sometimes it's the good kind of bad. There's also science.
Most of the science is bad. Worse than the humor.
None of this is actually real, except for the parts that are.
Like the kaiju, the kaiju is totally real. These are related stories in which Coulson is a BAMF, Natasha has a twisted sense of humor, Steve struggles to grasp the 21st century and Tony buys things.

Summary
It's just a normal day at the office: an alien invasion, the Avengers assemble and fight, and they lose radio contact with Barton. Except that this time, it's not really a normal day at all, as Phil Coulson finds out soon enough when he is confronted with a three year old Clint Barton and no idea what happened.
