Summary
The Antivan Crows burned away Zevran’s soulmark long before he was old enough to read it.
What Zevran didn’t realise - until much later - was that the Crows did not invent this technique. It was a practice originally cultivated by the Circles. Mages had their soulmates erased, lest the connection make them yearn too much for the world outside tower walls.
--
A soulmates AU featuring a disaster bisexual hot assassin boi, and his hypercompetent nerd wife (who is bad at feelings).

Summary
"First," said Gale. "Do not kill any thinking creatures in Waterdeep unless you must to protect yourself or you have my express permission."
As Gale spoke, he could feel the weight of his words sinking into the person sitting across from him. It was like casting a spell, but took no effort. Astarion had been staring hollowly into his goblet of blood, but at this he made a faintly interested noise. As if the rule were novel and he was considering the shape of it.
"Second, you will obey me in all things," said Gale. There didn't feel like there was any honest way of softening that. Astarion didn't make any sound at all.
"Third, do not leave the tower without permission." Astarion made another speculative noise, considering this one too. But then his shoulders hunched and his eyes skittered down, as if he didn't want to look at what was about to happen.
"Fourth," Gale said, and paused. He started with some context: "There is a tressym upstairs."
Astarion's head twitched. He looked up at Gale, blinking, startled. He had the air of someone who had been bracing for a blow and instead had just been handed a balloon animal.
"A what?" he asked.

Summary
Yesterday, Linda was on her way to Target to buy a birthday present for her granddaughter.
Today, Linda is infected with some parasite in the most horrifying environment imaginable. Even worse, she's surrounded by a band of misfits: a magical bearded man who talks too much, an odd little Goth girl with bangs that desperately need a trim, an angry alien lady who won't quit sharpening her sword, a disturbingly pale elf who needs some bronzer, and a heroic young man with one eye.
This can't be real... can it? Surely she's having a psychotic break.
Tomorrow, she'll wake up and this will all be some kind of nightmare. She's sure of it.

Summary
Isleen never believed in fate—until she met Gale of Waterdeep. He is brilliant, powerful, and doomed to die. And she refuses to let that happen.
Gifted—or cursed—with the ability to control time, Isleen fights against destiny itself, determined to save the man she loves. Each death brings her closer to the truth, each loop unraveling more of the forces that conspire against them. But time is a cruel mistress, and no matter how many times she rewrites the past, the future refuses to change.
As she peers into the threads of time, bending them to her will, Isleen must ask herself: how many lives is she willing to lose? How much of herself can she sacrifice before she forgets who she is? And if she finally succeeds… will Gale still be the man she fell in love with, or will time itself have broken them both?
Some destinies cannot be rewritten. But that has never stopped Isleen before.

Summary
“How old were you when you were turned?” You ask gently, hoping the push doesn’t cause him to shut down and dawn the mask once again. Every crack in his façade makes you want to peer behind those walls all the more.
“I’m…not sure, to be honest,” he says after a pause.
You stare back at the fire, contemplating. You don’t want to push too far and lose this moment, but something is dawning on you. Even the youngest elven city officials you’d heard about were old enough to have outlived most of their human colleagues twice over. Humans are notoriously bad at estimating the ages of longer-living races, often having trouble telling between even a one hundred year old and a two hundred year old. For an elf to be young enough for most humans to realize they even were young…
“Astarion is still your child name, isn’t it,” you say, more a statement of fact than a question.
Another pause.
“...yes. Yes it is.”

Summary
The Road to Baldur's Gate is a long one, made longer for Astation by the fleeting light of hope and the nagging question of just how he got here, holding Nahema in the rancid maw of Thorm's domain. Who was she, to him? How did this happen? Where did his "nice, simple" plan fall apart? Why did he just now realize that he was more than a little alright with it crumbling away to dust, while she lay dying in his arms?
Part One of Damned and Divine starts at the end of Act 2, in the Mind Flayer Colony, mid battle with the Apostle of Myrkul, and travels between the present day and memories of the past as Astarion comes to grips with freedom, decisions, and the realization that love is always in the cards. This all came to me while I was running my first playthrough of BG3 as a Cleric of Selune, and I wanted to get it down on paper. Please enjoy!

Summary
Last night, Astarion ripped your throat out with his teeth. You made him do it — baited him into it, on purpose. You kind of had a death wish, and Raphael promised that in exchange, he’d set Astarion free.
Only one problem with that plan: Lae’zel doesn’t tolerate dangerous vampires in camp. And Gale is horribly, madly in love with you.

Summary
Tara flew to his shoulder and gazed down with him, taking in the scene.
“Do you see it?” he whispered. “What…”
“I see it.” She rubbed her cheek against his, her tail curling around his hunched shoulders.
“What does it mean?”
“It means hope, Gale. It means something real.”—
Gale is a divination wizard, but a mere shadow of his former glory.
Aoife is an Oath of the Ancients paladin, haunted by the grief of her past.
A year after their fateful first meeting Aoife's path crosses the Wizard of Waterdeep's once more. But as the two are drawn together, Gale's misfortune with the orb and Aoife's long-held sorrow aren't the only dark shadows cast upon them by the past, and soon their fates become as entangled as the threads of the Weave.

Summary
They had not gotten along, at least at first.
Bal had acquaintances along the Sword Coast but none were wizards. A few fellow sorcerers but most definitely no wizards. By the nine hells did she find them arrogant and, consequently, difficult to get along with.
In her opinion, Gale embodied all the worst traits of wizardkind. The man was pompous, hubristic, and by the gods he never shut up.
-----
Bal hid away from the world for three years in Baldur's Gate to deal with her grief, unfortunately, that didn't save her from being snatched up by the nautiloid. Begrudgingly saddled with the title of leader, she tentatively begins to make friends again, opening her heart to her fellow tadpals, and carving out a special place for Mystra's former Chosen.
But the weight of the Sword Coast's fate rests heavily on her shoulders, and love is not always easy. When further loss and expectations take their toll, she flees from the one she cherishes most, unable to handle that he will pass long before she does.
Time and soul-searching will heal Bal's wounds, but only if she can face her fears and doubts.

Summary
He's a human wizard with a history of being groomed and used, making catastrophic mistakes, and self loathing. He hasn't hoped to find love ever again after his toxic relationship with Mystra.
She's a nurturing, kind hearted, elven druid of Selune, with a history of indoctrination, abuse, and loneliness. She hasn't hoped to find someone who could make her feel safe and be patient with her as she still, decades later, deals with the trauma inflicted by her late husband.
When Gale and Fela meet on their quest to stop the Netherbrain, they find in each other unexpected comfort, joy, and unconditional love that they never realised they both needed so desperately.
Will they be able to overcome their difference in lifespan, as well as their own traumas and insecurities in order to build a life together?
The smut begins at chapter 9, and you will also find some in chapters 10, 14, and 17.
Sorry for rambling, I have a propensity towards verbosity!
