Jinx opened the door and snapped it shut with the air of someone irritated and rushed. Silco took in the downturn of her pretty painted lips and the furrow of her eyebrows. “Heya, boss. Sorry I’m late.”
“Rough day?” Silco asked, trying to keep his voice imploring. He stopped beating off the second she came in.
“S’okay.” She mumbled as she tossed her purse onto the table between his black couches and kicked off her heels.
