The story follows a pirate ship named Marigold and its crew.
Marigold’s captain is Hayden, first mate/quartermaster is Justin, the cook/boatswain is Sam, doctor/healer is Ayame, cooper is Herbert and the newest member Iisak is the navigator.
The world this story is in is fictional, but it is based on 1720s Europe.

My app says I finished the 1st. But I dont remember the end.
I didnt love that a gay character fell for a girl. Wasn't as much ambiguity about the Star being more gender neutral or our MC having a sexuality crisis (ok it was a small one). But even the Fili/ori wasn't gay. And I was looking forward to that since I've never read it.
