Summary
I just finished reading the fic "Not the gods or the ender dragon will keep me away from you," the EPIC/Minecraft crossover fic by Idkputacoolname, and I was inspired. I have a lot of thoughts about what many of the bases they visit look like, and some other headcanons too.
EDIT: Now mostly spinoff fics, honestly
I still recommend reading the original fic first; my stuff will make more sense then!

Summary
Odysseus has been trapped on Calypso's island for nearly seven years. If he tried to leave, the stormy ocean outside of Calypso's bubble of paradise would kill him instantly. On top of all that, the goddess seems thoroughly convinced that he will marry her someday.
One day he finds his former mentor Athena on the island, collapsed in a feathery heap. Calypso insists that she's dead; Odysseus knows better. Calypso said herself that goddesses can't die, didn't she?
He begins sneaking away to take care of Athena, and as he learns what happened to her and she learns to accept someone else's care, their broken relationship begins to mend.

Warnings and cautions:
- I have toned down Calypso; she's far from the worst version of herself that people write, because frankly I don't feel comfortable writing that, even in an implied way. Hence the absence of the official warning. But she's still Not Good; she frequently grabs Odysseus's arm, kisses him on the cheek, hugs him, and does similar things that she thinks are "cute" but definitely cross his boundaries. So here's your warning for that.
- "Graphic descriptions of violence" is there because there'll be a flashback to how Athena got hurt.Series

What if Athena hadn't just sped up Telemachus's reaction time with Quick Thought, but also lent him some of her power?
What if, with this gift, he managed to win his brawl against Antinous... only to deal with certain effects of this gift once the battle was over?
What if one of those effects meant growing owl wings?

Summary
A couple very short EPIC fics that stay pretty close to canon, except that someone (Hermes in the first fic, and Tiresias in the second fic) takes a moment to be kind and offer a few encouraging words.
It'll probably just be these two fics, but I decided to make them a series anyway because the concept behind them is so similar.
Edit: the third fic breaks the pattern of someone offering Odysseus some encouragement, but I felt like both the vibes of the fic and its length were similar enough that it would fit well in this series.

Summary
A summary of a story summary: Darth Vader wasn't totally evil, he was suffering significant psychotic breaks, emotional blackmail by the emperor and some other stuff. When the second Death Star is about to blow he mind tricks Luke into leaving him, frees Cody and sends him back in time via plot-convenient super Sith techniques. However the transit backwards gets a little messed up and Cody's kinda out of his head when he pops up back in the middle of the Clone Wars.

Summary
I have ideas and often they're not too bad - lunatic self-insertion fics that are exercises in pretending I'm capable of more awesome than I really am aside - but I know I don't have the ability to either write them out properly or don't have a plot, just a lot of worldbuilding.
These are those ideas.
For the record, if anyone wants to take these on as the basis for a fic, go right ahead. You don't even need to ask permission. I'd prefer if you credited the base idea, but I don't even mind if you don't.

Summary
Odysseus is, for a full second, determined to sacrifice his men. But Eurylochus’s eyes beg him to reconsider, and there is already so much blood on his hands - and then, in the midst of his desperation and fear, Odysseus has an almost violent epiphany: he has been given no time limit.
And so he shrugs lightly. “That’s true, actually. I don’t want you all to die either.” He looks pointedly away from the swords pointed in his direction, meeting his second-in-command’s gaze with a beam bright enough that the man recoils. “Thanks for bringing that up, Eurylochus. You’ve given me a lot to think about.”

Very silly, but at the same time very good! Some hope and healing in an otherwise dark story. There's nothing like barely skating by on ridiculous lies together to repair a relationship, it seems!
