Summary
If Hikaru is a monster by the letter, then Yoshiki is a monster by nature.
This selfishness, this repulsiveness that he shamefully hides under a veneer of aloofness, is nothing but what he truly is at his core. For the longest time, he has made his absolute best effort to pretend otherwise, to turn his face from the truth, to portray himself as anything but what he truly is.
But by the same metric that Hikaru isn’t the same friend he spent his whole childhood with, Yoshiki is nothing but the culmination of everything he tries to conceal, and regardless of how much he tries to deny it, he knows himself better than anyone.
And if he can believe that there’s salvation for a monster like Hikaru , then surely there must be salvation, too, for a monster like Yoshiki.
Or: TSHD/JJK Crossover - Nobara and Megumi are sent to Kubitachi to exorcise a Curse and cross paths with Hikaru and Yoshiki.

Summary

He says it so casually, so cavalier — like what can you do? — that Lin Ling briefly wonders if he’s insane for having such a strong reaction to Nice’s apparent death.

Steve flipped open Nancy’s pocketknife, presenting it. He raised his eyebrows expectantly. Jonathan dubiously followed the actions, both holding out their palms side by side. Both blades hovered an inch above, suspended with reluctance.
From the streetlight streaming through the window blinds, the other side of Steve’s bruised features were casted in shadow. The hazel of his one unscathed eye gleamed as they found each other’s matching apprehensive gazes.
“On three, okay?” he whispered for permission. Jonathan inhaled the thin air left in between, nodding. “One, two…three.”
Or; After the fight in the alleyway and subsequently being detained by the police, Nancy decided to stay back and watch over Mike. Jonathan went home to face the demogorgon alone, to save his own family. Just before he became the bait, there was a knock at his door.

Summary
In a canon-divergent, post–Season 3 Hawkins—where Nancy and Jonathan have already gone their separate ways a series of erratic demodog attacks begins tearing through the town. A new strategy emerges: pairing Steve's instinctive, close-combat fighting with Jonathan's sharp eye for patterns and evidence, and sending them out together as a rapid-response team.
Neither of them is happy about it.
It doesn’t help that they’re also working the same shifts at Family Video—alongside a coworker who seems far more comfortable with Jonathan than anyone else. Between overlapping hours, increasingly dangerous patrols through Hawkins and the slow unearthing of old resentments, Steve and Jonathan are forced into a partnership built on proximity, necessity, and a mutual refusal to acknowledge how well they work together.
