the author's notes, maxlethra being best friends, olethra's ginormous crush on marya – cloudout to "if u were junk i'd be a dumpster diver" bc she would totally say that –, her deep hatred for pappy (SO in character bc the divorce prob just happened when she'd "written" this), monty's random sentience halfway through, the fucking wealwell chapter, all of it tying together in the epilogue...... so deeply unserious i will NEVER stop thinking about this fic i fear -

Everyone moved. Papers shuffled, phones were pocketed, conversations half-abandoned. But Jisung remained for a moment longer, watching Sion slide into the chair across from him in the conference room, already smiling like he didn’t know half the city had just watched him defy death.
As the door shut behind them, Jisung finally exhaled.
