Summary
A wave of affection and longing almost makes him stagger on his feet. Just seeing him in that suit—looking less than impressive, scratching his butt—makes him realize just how much he missed him.
“Wade,” Peter cringes at how his voice catches, “Hi.”
Wade turns around, turns back, turns again and does a double take. He eyes Peter up and down and to his surprise, turns away snootily.
“Sorry cutie, any other day, I would be super into this hipster nerd slash skater boi with an I you’ve got going on—devastating combo, by the way—I’m sadly not in the mood.”
Peter, fresh out of his multiversal escapades, gains a new perspective in life. One that includes a certain mouthy mercenary, perhaps?
The problem is, the mercenary doesn’t seem to remember him. Like at all. He has a sneaking suspicion it has to do with that spell thing Peter-One was talking about…

Summary
Out of the corner of his eyes, MJ quietly takes the seat across the younger Peter, swiftly sliding into his place. He visibly relaxes, resting his forehead against hers. They belong together in a quietly intense way. Longing burns hot inside of him, like a branch caught in a forest fire. It’s strange. Even if this version of Peter has lost virtually everything, he still finds a way to be envious of him.
He thinks of Wade. For some unfathomable reason he isn’t quite ready to examine yet, he misses the idiot.

Summary
A man is sitting on his porch, clearly injured and trailing blood everywhere. His eyes are shut, groaning painfully as he clutches his bleeding side. He looks dangerously pale.
Tinsley feels strangely awkward just standing about. He says, as casual as one can be, “You know, you could have just knocked.”
The man startles. He blasphemes, tries to stand up, instantly falls over in one quick, impressive succession. He howls in pain. In normal circumstances, Tinsley would have found his skittering hilarious. He seems to momentarily forget he was bleeding to death. He winces sympathetically instead.
“Jesus fucking Christ.” The man looks up, blinking his dark brown eyes at him, “I thought you were a ghost.”
“Thanks.” Tinsley replies dryly.
C.C. Tinsley is a retired private investigator plagued by the past. He reinvents himself in a quiet, little town—confident that nothing will ever disturb the life he’s trying to build. Then comes Ricky Goldsworth, who keeps trying to worm his way through Tinsley’s life, one injury at a time.

The stars are beautiful right now, static yet flickering. He stares resentfully at them. How can the universe remain the same while his worldview flips entirely out of orbit? Pran was supposed to be his enemy, his rival. He shouldn’t have been kissing his enemy as if it was the one thing he wanted to do ever since, as if they weren’t just dancing around for this moment to come, as if the fog had cleared and he could see clearly, as if he’s been holding his breath for three years and he could finally breathe.
But it’s exactly those things. Now, he is left to muddy through these feelings he didn’t know he had. Or maybe he’s always known. There was always something there, and Pat just kept his eyes closed from it.

Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, celebrates his 28th birthday by being transported into another universe. He meets other versions of himself and gets a few, important life reminders. Upon returning, he finds out that Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, doesn’t remember who Peter is. Him and the rest of the world, apparently. Thankfully, they remember Spider-Man. That should be enough… right?

She falls asleep on him, nose twitching as she snores, clutching his tail to her chest like he’s the small, fuzzy, huggable thing. He doesn’t dare put his arm around her. He’s not dense— he knows what this would be if this were anyone else, if this were a cute girl he’d picked up at a bar that he’d wined and dined and cuddled with all night on the couch. He’d wake her with a kiss and see where things take them, if this were some girl.
But it’s Judy, and Nick’s just happy she’s here, so he doesn’t wake her at all.
(Nick thinks he's writing down observations about the most interesting mammal in his life. What he's really doing is falling head over tail in love.
And he's going to be annoying about it, because he's a bastard.)

Summary
“You’d tell me if you were in pain...right?”
Judy watches his expression shift into what she can only suspect to be guilt, his eyes wavering in a spell of conflict, and she wonders why such a mood would be present. It makes her want to etch a crack in his walls again, to be given the rite of passage. To see where his mind goes when they face each other like this, emotions all at once named yet reshaped to avoid a deeper context, in fear of unleashing too much.
The tension in the air threatening to suffocate them dissipates when Nick lays on his usual smile, its very significance praying it’ll fool her.
“If I were in pain, Carrots, you’ll know.”
