Following the finale, the hotel and the Vees decide to forbid the now-free Alastor and the now-subdued Vox from seeing each other after the stunt they’ve pulled, afraid they’d cause more trouble for hell.
But obsessive hatred runs quite deep, and if the two can’t find a way to ruin each other’s lives in hell, they’d risk everything to find another way in another place.
Somewhere out there exists a universe in which Alastor and Vox are as close in every sense as possible. Geographically, temporally, emotionally. An alternative version of Al and Vincent on Earth in the modern times. One day, they begin to get spontaneously possessed by their demon counterparts, whose plan consists of tormenting each other in their bodies.
Their possessions won’t always be timely consistent, leading to a few teeny-tiny... mishaps.

Alastor applauded softly, as though reviewing a fine orchestral performance.
“Bravo, my dear Vincent! Your commentary is impeccable. The mixture of dread and charm, carefully measured, utterly delicious.”Vincent muttered, glancing down at the corpse.
“Impeccable? Really? You’ve clearly never met a real critic.”Alastor smirked, reaching over to adjust Vincent’s tie.
“A critic? Perhaps. But for now, you have me. And I always approve of talent, particularly when accompanied by such… aesthetic precision.”Vincent scribbled more notes: Target: maximize terror, maintain popularity, ensure partner’s ego inflated sufficiently.
He looked up at Alastor.“You do realize, someday, someone is going to notice what we’re doing.”

Summary
Coming to the conclusion that Valentino might have been drugging him with his venom for the past twelve years, Vox flees to the Hazbin Hotel to collect his thoughts. An injured Alastor is less-than-pleased to see him, but Vox begins remembering fragments of a past he didn't realise he'd forgotten and he's shocked to learn that he once had a very close relationship with his enemy.
The memories come to him faster and faster and soon, Vox realises just how much Valentino stole from him. Alastor isn't as carefully composed as he makes out and things quickly get complicated when past feelings resurface.
And then there's that whole mess with the chain around Alastor's neck. It turns out that the Radio Demon isn't as cold-hearted as everyone thinks, especially when it comes to a certain Television Demon.

A deal is struck: fake dating for optics; makeover (for his report card) in exchange for another makeover (but this time for her soul… allegedly if she does have one that is).
