Summary

“I don’t know what’s unclear about this, Sherlock. My brother asked something of you. It is only natural that you fulfill it, as long as you are not putting him in danger.”
“Are you out of your mind too?! Do you even hear yourself?” Sherlock completely lost his temper, and no attempt to calm him mattered. “Hit the person I love, Louis? Choke him until his lips turn blue? Pull his hair and force his head into the pillow? These are the things he asked of me, and I will not do them! Liam is clearly not alright, and neither are you if you support him in this! You begged me to save him, and now you’re telling me to beat him if that’s what he wants?! You’ve both lost your damn minds!”
“Do you love him?” The question surprised Sherlock; in its simplicity, it sobered him.
“Yes.” He lowered his head, but Louis tightened his grip on his arm again, forcing him to look at him.
“If you love him, make him happy. I don’t want to see him dissatisfied because of you.”

The man—Mr. Moriarty—turned towards him, then crossed the room with fluid, measured steps. The scent of bergamot and old paper filled the air as he neared. It was sharp and clean, softened by something warmer beneath.
“Mr. Holmes, correct?” He held out his hand in greeting.
Sherlock shook it. He noted the grip, firm but precise, and the calluses just below the fingers. Nimble hands. Dexterous. Fencer, perhaps, considering his balance and build. His gaze drifted briefly downward, noting the clean cuff, the faint ink smudge on his wrist.
“That's right,” he said, the toothpick in his mouth bobbing with the words. “And you're Mr. Moriarty.”
“Just William is fine. Mr. Moriarty is what the kids call me,” William said, nodding toward the classroom, children playing with toys or coloring on paper inside. “Your daughter is quite bright. Very self-sufficient.”

Asougi's memory isn't what it used to be. Even though most of his memories returned after reuniting with Naruhodou, there are still a few bits and pieces from his past that he simply can't remember. As he grows used to being a prosecutor alone in England and tries to piece together what he had lost, he can't shake the growing doubt in his mind that perhaps there was more to his time here - and more to himself - than he can recall.
(Expect spoilers for both Dai Gyakuten Saiban games. Characters and tags to be added as this goes along. Also with art, because did you know that you can post art in here? That's neat.)

Liam’s crimson eye flickered over Sherlock, his book completely abandoned. “Sherlock?” It was a bit of a thrill when Sherlock was able to shock Liam, even after all these years. Liam expression relaxed, his composure comfortable as he took off his eyepatch, placing it on the desk as his eyes never strayed from Sherlock. “You’re here.”

The fragile relationship between Sherlock and William unexpectedly falls apart, taking them with it.
William pressed his face into the fragrant dark curls, burying his nose so deeply against Sherlock’s head that he could scarcely breathe. In that moment, he would have gladly drowned in it, if only to feel him and himself real for a little while. He wrapped his arms around Sherlock, with every heartbeat convinced that he would push him away, yet in the end, after a minute, he was still able to forget this.
“What is wrong?” Sherlock did not try to look at him, he was content to take hold of one of William’s arms wrapped around him. His fingers curled around his bare arm, his thumb brushing over a faint scratch in the crook of William’s elbow.
“I would tell you if I knew, but I’m incapable of thinking.”
