He felt the smoky red chain loosen around his neck, until a much heavier, much more intricate golden chain clamped around it once more. Angel was free from Valentino. But his new Overlord seemed twice as terrifying.

Summary
Angel wasn't sure what happened the day his contract got sold to Husker, the Gambling Demon. All he knew was that he was scared. This was new territory for him. He was used to the abuse from Val, it came and went like the tides. It was familiar, he could twist it someway to make it feel like maybe it was comforting at times. But now, he had no clue what to expect and it scared the shit out of him. All he knows now is that he's living in a strange, unfamiliar place with a new boss who he had no clue how to read.
