Ghost blocked the predicted hit to his arm, “shut the fuck up." Ghost looked at him, saw the mirth in the mock angry expression.
Ghost gestured, “go on then.”
“If we’re both single when we’re fifty,” Soap started only to be interrupted as Ghost snorted beside him, “what?”
“Never gonna happen Johnny,” Ghost raised an eyebrow, “I’m ten years older than you, we’ll never be fifty at the same time.”
Soap rolled his eyes, “let me finish ye clarty bastard, if we’re single,” he raised a finger, “when you turn fifty and I turn forty, we get married.”
Ghost stared dumbly at him, “why?”
Soap turned fully towards him, “for tax benefits."
“For tax benefits?”
“Aye,” he stuck out his hand, “we got a deal?”
Ghost could only roll his eyes fondly, it would never happen, Soap would find someone. So, he committed to the bit "only if you give me a gold ring."
OR
Soap and Ghost makes a pact to get married, life happens and thirteen years down the line they face a mutual purely "platonic" marriage and thirteen years of miscommunication and pining.

Summary
“Two guys walk into a bar,” Ghost says.
“Not in the mood,” Johnny growls.
Silence.
“The third ducks.”
“Bleeding Jesus, Ghost,” Johnny mutters.
“Why don’t dinosaurs talk?” Ghost asks. He rocks back on his heels, face still pointed upwards.
“I’m not doing this with you,” Johnny says.
“Why don’t dinosaurs talk, Johnny?”
There’s a perfect stream of water falling off the ends of a branch a few yards off. It’s making a tiny pond in the forest floor far below, a pond that is slowly swelling out of its banks and turning into a river, trickling through fallen leaves and bracken. Johnny stares at that, refusing to meet Ghost’s eyes. He’d swung his gaze around to look at Johnny, head tilted slightly down, eyes glinting light through the darkness of the mask and greasepaint. That look turns Johnny’s spine to jello, breaks down his resolve and makes something dangerous warm in his stomach. He doesn’t know if Ghost is aware that he does it, if he knows how fast Johnny’s resolve crumbles at that look.
“Why don’t they talk, ye fuckin’ bobber?” Johnny says through grit teeth.
“Because they’re dead.”

A strange, almost glitching sound came from above, but he didn’t still his movements until he felt fingers push over his scalp, grabbing onto his hair and yanking his head back.
“Jesus, what the f-”
Reed froze, hand tangled in cables, looking at RK900. A deep blue blush colored his cheeks, moving down over his clavicle and chest. His stoic composure from seconds before was now completely gone, replaced by a wide eyed glare. Even his perfectly quaffed hair had shifted just enough that a few strands now hung in his face. His body seemed to be in some sort of panic mode, giving the effect of heavy breathing.
“I told you to avoid the wires.”

They fell into quiet as they ate, but it didn't feel like silence — it felt like rest. There wasn't a need to fill it with chatter, and Peter relaxed with the reprieve. His nerves slowly settled, even with the acute awareness that he was having dinner with Steve Rogers, who Peter remembered even though Steve didn't remember Peter.
Peter discovers that he's next door neighbors with Steve Rogers and his crush may not be quite so one-sided.
