Indrid - After being hit over the head with a shovel and dragged through the woods by a bike chain - leaves Kepler like a man about to die. He has been seen by a human, even if Aubrey says she has handled it, he is not willing to risk it. More than that, he flew back to his RV and was almost certainly spotted on the way.
He cannot handle another Point Pleasant.
He leaves Kepler Southward on US-220 to US-250, from there he gets on I-81 South to Tennesee. Right before Exit 175 towards Natural Bridge, his gas light turns on. He stops for gas. He is, perhaps, not the most normal customer.

“All okay, question?” There’s a slight quiver in the notes of his voice that I’ve come to recognize as hesitance.
“Of course, buddy.” I laugh disbelievingly, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Ryland finds Yao’s gun and he is perfectly normal about it, thank you very much. He’s only been stuck in the same environment eating the same meals everyday for a year now. He’s fine.

I saw a textpost on Tumblr with this premise, and decided to write something short about it.
Alastor suffers the consequences of being violently electrocuted many times in a short timeframe in the form of arrythmias. It just so happens that a particularly bad attack hits him right in the middle of a conversation with Charlie.

“What the fuck is wrong with your arm?” Husk says, eloquent as ever.
Alastor smiles wider. Whatever ignorance he’d managed at all towards the pain quashes pathetically at his cursed voice, and the weight of their stares twists deeper into his raw wound. The throbbing pain along his entire arm swells, hot and punishing.
He swings in one smooth motion against his microphone, patting Husker’s head, bopping his nose, and turning towards the stairs before any of them can get a good look at him.
Or, Alastor took more damage than he'd care to admit. Husk can't keep his cursed eyes to himself, and ends up making Alastor's problem everyone else's too.

Or: Lucifer frees Alastor from his self-made cage. That doesn’t exactly fix everything.
