“Obi… what?” The abbreviation feels like gibberish to Katsuki right now, with all the medications he’s under.
“The pregnancy doctor,” Yoshida says quickly before he slips out the door and down the hall. The words make something cold settle into Katsuki's chest. -

Those last few words shatter Izuku completely, crushed by the weight of a life cut short before it had the chance to be loved, or to give love in return. And saying it in front of Kacchan, the person he cares about the most; the person he secretly admires as a bit more than a friend, but wouldn't dare tell him; the person who almost died for him once already, and his heart couldn't handle it at all… -

President Shigaraki’s pale eyes flash. “You’ve understood everything except one small detail, Izuku Midoriya,” he says softly, “I’m not asking.”

Captured by the Capitol, Izuku becomes something hollow and unrecognizable. Every memory has been twisted into a threat, and it’s impossible to know where the lies end and where he begins.
But there's a fragile, stubborn thing that exists between the moments of pain and hatred; a warmth that refuses to die. “Your brats.” Eijirou presses his cheek between Katsuki’s shoulder blades.
The blond’s fingers tighten uncontrollably under his friend’s knees. A bitter cold sweeps through him that has nothing to do with the storm.
He’s seen Katsuki break; hate himself for being good at everything but gifting Izuku the one thing he wants most. How it’s chipped away at them, how they’ve had fights that’s seen Katsuki over at their home for a fortnight. Every heat, locked together for hours. Trying position after position even if it left Izuku sore for days because of the odd angles.
“I don’t… I don’t have—”
“M-Maybe not yet. Not ever if you don’t make it back home.” Eijirou lets out a steady, tired breath. “Bakugou Katsuki doesn’t lose, r-right?”
Or: Every year, before the long hunt to prepare for the winter, the village people host a week-long celebration of family, love, and instinct. Couples looking to grow their families drink the ceremonial heat brew, asking the Gods for their favor and kindling of new life.

Summary
As soon as they’re both on the surface, Izuku looks up—he can’t help himself.
Sitting above them is a dark sea full of shining stars scattered across the sky. The moon glows brightly overhead, more yellow than Izuku used to imagine the moon to be. The painting in his childhood books truly does the moon no justice.
His throat constricts, silencing him. Tears threaten to breach. He’s never seen anything so beautiful.
“Deku? What’s going on?”
Izuku looks back at Katsuki.
All air leaves his lungs.
He can’t explain why—but in this moment, Katsuki is as beautiful as the sky above them. There’s something comforting—something familiar about his face, the way his skin glows and his dark eyes that regard him now. It brings him a comfort he’s been searching for.
Maybe it’s because he knows Eri will be safe.
At least, that’s what Izuku tells himself.

Or, a story about fighting for what’s right, even if it means losing everything.
