Worse, the world is too bright, and the smug bastard has the audacity to look at him like he hung the stars. Cloud just wants to find Aerith, get answers, and maybe not deal with this soulmate nonsense
Genesis Rhapsodos, meanwhile, has waited years for their final soulmate to appear. only for him to be a battle-worn blond who doesn’t even believe in soulmates
Unacceptable. But Genesis is nothing if not determined. If Cloud thinks he can outrun fate, he’s got another thing coming

And so, they head off to an unknown destination at the behest of a planet Sephiroth doesn’t fully believe in with a girl he barely knows but who’s mother died saving them both.
