“Master Bruce, I suggest you get some sleep.” Alfred says from beside him.
He had been working on the computer. A case about a new arms deal that's going on somewhere in the city. Batman had caught wind of it and followed the trail of crumbs till it gave way to a solid lead. Now, he was compiling evidence and information. Hopefully Batman would be able to go out and put a stop to it once he was done. He just needed a little more time. However, despite Alfred's choice of words implying free will, he knew better than to assume that Alfred was letting him decide if it was bedtime or not.

A grin broke out on Maters face, which Lightning barely saw before beginning to shovel at the terrible asphalt job again- now with more vigor than before.
"Well sure! Not biolloci- biologically," Mater stumbled over the word slightly, before getting right back on track, "But she's been coming here every summer since she were twelve, n' all that. She's a good kid. Smart. You'll like her, new best buddy. I can tell."
