Except there were no talking cats or fake god killing guns in his backpack. No, all he wanted was to was keep his head down and make it through high school. He had enough problems, thank you very much.

This is Debaser but with trans Billy. I personally consider this the true version.
Sometimes I just want to read stuff with people who have my anatomy and sometimes dysphoria kicks my ass, so I wanted to make a version of this for either occasion. Gonna do my best to update both at the same time moving forward.
Before, they were only as close as Billy let anyone get, but lately the distance between them has been shrinking. He’s not the kind of guy who likes to talk about himself. Mostly he listens, prods, collects, but never offers. He learned young that when you’ve got a brain like he does you can’t afford to tell people what you’re thinking or how you really feel. Stu isn’t one of those people though, Stu has to keep his thoughts secret too and now this is theirs to keep, between them.

It had been that kind of a friendship: two people alternately obsessed and annoyed with one another. Aniq remembered how Eugene had always laughed the loudest at Yasper’s jokes, had always wanted Yasper’s opinion on everything, and had often changed his tastes to suit Yasper’s. Eugene tried to sit beside Yasper in every class they shared. Eugene gave Yasper expensive presents for his birthday that Yasper always looked vaguely embarrassed by. Yasper and Eugene slept over at each other’s houses almost every weekend.
Well, they were adults now. Presumably any sleepovers would look very, very different.
Yasper takes a fall. Xavier takes responsibility. Together they make everyone else uncomfortable.

This story is constantly considered "complete" despite new chapters being uploaded. It is written for fun and updated when my muse strikes me.

This is a collection of all the House, M.D. fanfic & fanwork rec lists I have found. It's inclusive of any and all pairings, genres, tropes, and so on. Some of the rec lists here are thematically organized, or include descriptions or reviews of each work, which may help you find something that piques your interest, so I've noted that below.
Also included below is a list of fan community sites where you can dive into a House time capsule to find old favorites, new-to-you stories, and post fic-finding queries.
This project began with asking a fic-finder community for help finding more recent rec lists, and has expanded ever since. Some visitors were inspired to publish their own rec lists (and you can, too!).
It's never too late to let authors and creators know you read/view their work! I've included some resources to help you do that.
(January 2021: Number of rec lists has been GREATLY expanded, and I've added more in the resource sections. This project has come a long way since 2013!)

Summary
It started with a patrol. A normal, average patrol where Tim took down a few criminals he’d been tracking and ran into Poison Ivy. She managed to hit him with some kind of light, odorless gas, but it didn’t seem to have any effect on him that he could determine. He went over the usual antidotes and took a decontamination shower and counted himself lucky.
That’s how he got to this point, handcuffed to the bed with a crazy family that had convinced itself he was too vulnerable to be let out of their sight, too fragile to even be trusted with his own safety.
