Summary
Kaido Shun and Kuboyasu Aren decide to make a manga based on one of Shun’s stories, so they can submit it to a prestigious competition for a chance to get a series. Shun writes while Aren draws, and over the course of a couple of months, they get a chance of a life time. But, the artist has a different motive, a hidden feeling that he has to keep away in exchange for being with him. The writer on the other hand, is discovering the same feeling, and has to come to terms with it.
Slowly, they figure out that a passion for manga isn’t the only thing they share.

“Quiet!” The taller boy barked, shoving Shun harshly by the shoulders. He stumbled backwards, tripping over a rock and falling to the ground.
Shun’s palms and knees burned with the familiar feeling of being scraped raw. The sting caused tears to well up behind his eyes. He blinked quickly, hoping to avoid being laughed at for being a cry baby.
Something about seeing Shun lying on the ground, panic clouding his eyes, and on the verge of tears must have made something in the mullet kid snap.

Years before they meet in high school, Shun gets lost on his way home, and some delinquents think it’s a good idea to jump the poor kid. Aren quickly proves them otherwise and saves the day, of course.

Still, it would probably be far easier for him if coming out went smoothly for everyone and Teruhashi came to terms with her status as a lesbian, so he decides to help out. You know, like a good ally.
Saiki Kusuo isn't LGBTQ. Not experiencing sexual attraction is totally normal. Transforming between biological sexes soon after birth doesn't count. And his interest in Satou Hiroshi is purely one of curiosity.
That has to be true. Because for Saiki Kusou, coming out sure seems like a pain.
