If anyone asked, Robby could easily tell the story with a lovesick smile and eyes focused only on the younger man as if he hung the moon and stars himself. A rough hand caressing his arm before intertwining their fingers.
“It was almost like fate.” He would say, awe in his tone, still surprised at how this man chose to be with him.
If anyone asked Dennis, he would look at you with furrowed eyebrows and a slowly reddening face as he’d reply, “What do you mean? Dr. Robby and I aren’t dating.”

Summary
The first couple of dollars that the machine ate up without remorse were an annoyance, something that made Dennis sigh and unzip his wallet without thinking about it to try again. By the time that the vending machine had eaten seven whole dollars, in coins, and Dennis didn’t have anything to show for it, he was close to thumping his forehead against the cool glass and hoping he could derive some sort of enjoyment or nourishment from simply just looking at the colourful packages as they remained firmly in their coils.
He didn’t often carry coins. Those were his last few dollars and he was woefully aware that somebody had offhandedly mentioned that the staffroom vending machine destroyed notes, so he wasn’t going to be getting a soda, a bag of chips or anything else that might settle his belly from the incessant grumbling it was doing.

Summary
Robby has gone from barely being able to watch to not wanting to even blink. He can’t keep his eyes from darting down to where Whitaker’s thighs grip the saddle, how he slides forwards on it with every downward bow of the bull and back as it pushes up. Again and again and again, he rolls with the mechanical bull with a single circular fluid motion.
It crosses his mind that this might be one of the hottest things he’s ever seen. He doesn’t even try to unpack that thought, it doesn’t even feel like an opinion he can change. It’s just a fact. Whitaker on the mechanical bull is one of the hottest things he’s ever seen.

The ED team shuffles out, Whitaker and Dr. Robby taking up the rear. Dr. Robby stops him with a hand on Whitaker’s waist, there and gone. “Really,” he says low, directly into his ear, beard scratching his cartilage, “that was amazing. You didn’t waste any time starting compressions. That probably saved that baby’s life. You saved that baby’s life.”
The praise goes to his head, suffusing him with endorphins. “Thank you, Dad.” And he promptly wants to crawl out of his skin and slither down the drain with the after birth slop.

Mobius stood in stunned silence, his eyes wide as he stared at his now uninjured hand. For a moment, he was caught in a state of disbelief, shifting his gaze between Loki and his hand. He was once again completely caught off guard by Loki’s unpredictability.
After regaining some of his composure, he managed to ask breathlessly, “Did you really just… kiss it better?”
“You just watched me, did you not?” Loki replied, a playful smirk on his lips.
Mobius returns from a mission injured, and Loki decides to heal him with kisses.

The sound doesn’t echo because the trees are so close here, but it still feels like a beacon to lead their enemies after them—as much a proclamation of their current location as the trail of footprints he’s leaving behind, or the drops of blood staining the pristine white blanket covering the ground.
Those, at least, have trailed off. Loki doesn’t want to think about what that might mean. He’s still alive, thank the Norns—the labored breathing in Loki’s ear, almost loud enough to drown out the sound of his footsteps, is proof enough of that. Proof enough that Loki hasn’t failed. Yet.

Loki.exe has stopped working. Like those old TVA computers that inexplicably shut down only to reboot in the most torturously slow way; the god's sympathetic nervous system shut down, only to turn back on a second later with an adrenaline rush worthy of being chased by Zeus himself. Loki felt his jaw hit the floor, feeling stupidly hot for a damn frost giant. He was sure the coach and the boys had said something else, but his ears had stopped being useful the exact moment Sean ended his statement. What in the Nine Realms had just happened?

AU where Loki was rescued from that terrifying tree and got to live a happy life with Mobius in a new timeline. Basically, lots of family fluff.
