Eddie had never really been one to be shy, and certainly not about love. Sure, he’d had relationships back in high school he’d kept quiet about, partially for fear that whatever bi-curious boy who’d turned their gaze onto Eddie this week would knock his head in, but mostly because that wasn’t actually love.
Steve, however. Now that was love.
Steve. His Stevie. His sweet little baby. His darling princess.
You can imagine, therefore, the type of pain he was in on tour: no Stevie for almost the entire thing, with the only respite being an Indianapolis stop months into the tour.
You can also imagine how tired everyone on the tour was of hearing about Eddie’s girlfriend Stevie. The best workaround for killing Eddie appeared to be placing bets on what exactly Stevie was like.
OR: 5 times Corroded Coffin’s tour crew made an assumption about Eddie’s Stevie + 1 time they were all proven wrong.

Gareth has had just about enough of Steve Harrington in the fall of '86. He sets about to do something about it. It takes an angry mob, a Corroded Coffin gig and a baseball bat full of nails for him to change his mind.
Gareth gets mad, Eddie gets beat up, Steve gets violent and Wayne is just really tired of everyone's shit.

Eddie lets him approach, this time. Lets him reach out to touch, to curl his fingers in the hem of Eddie’s shirt.
“Sorry, I know I probably sound crazy, I just––” he pulls it up, stares at Eddie’s side, and then lets out a hysterical little noise that sounds like a cross between a laugh and a sob.
“You’re ok,” Steve says.
His fingers are hot on Eddie’s skin, pressed light and shockingly reverent to the space between his hip and rib cage.
“You’re ok,” he repeats. It sounds like he’s trying to convince himself.
“Hey,” Eddie says. It comes out more breathless than he’d prefer but Steve fucking Harrington has him backed against a wall in a bathroom with his hands up Eddie’s shirt so he thinks a little lack of air is warranted. “Are you ok?”
The fingers on his abdomen flex. "No,” Steve says. His eyes are wide and fathomless and the look on his face is terrible. “No, I’m not even remotely ok.”

“So, they’ve got this theory that since I was the guy treating most of the dinosaurs here a couple years back, they’ll be more likely to let me close enough to get swabs,” Techno explained. “Which is true for the herbivores, but the Dilophosaurus? The Carnotaurus? Nah. Nah, those guys’ll kill me as soon as they look at me. They’ll let me get close to save themselves the effort of walking an extra few feet to chomp me down. I’m just going after the Pachy’s and the oviraptors at this point, and then I’m thinking I’ll call and get extracted.”
The emergency lights hummed, a persistent itch at Techno’s brain like someone dragging a fork down a ceramic plate. Somewhere down the hallway, the little raptor chuffed, like it was talking to itself; outside, past the thick metal door, a Brachiosaurus bellowed as the herd gathered in for the evening. It sounded like a foghorn going off.
“Wasn’t thinking I’d mention you, though,” Techno added. “If you wanna live out here, dude, that’s none of my business. I’m not being paid enough to be a snitch.”
