Without warning, the Imp leaped from the bean bag chair he’d been sleeping in and rushed over to Stolas.
“Lean down!” he demanded.
“Blitz, wha—?”
“FUCKING LEAN DOWN!” Blitz didn’t wait and pulled the bird by his wrists so he met his eye level. Then he started wordlessly examining Stolas, parting the feathers at the crown of the head, turning his beak this way and that, feeling the skin of his wrists and neck.
Seemingly not finding what he was looking for, Blitz searched Stolas’s ruby red eyes for something, gaze darting all over the owl’s features. Then he pulled the prince into a hug, rubbing his face into his fluffy chest.
Hesitantly, Stolas returned the hug, rubbing his back. * Did he have a nightmare? About me? *

“Why did he do it then?” she screams. “Why did he sacrifice everything for you?”
“I don’t fucking know, okay?” Blitzø screams back but while she’d raised her voice in anger, he sounds just desperate. Almost scared. “I have no fucking clue why he would do something this stupid for me! I don’t deserve this and I don’t know why he would… I can’t…”
He covers his face with a hand that trembles and Via bites her lip. She feels drained all of a sudden.
“Because he loves you, you asshole.” There is no heat in her voice. No anger. She is all out of anger again. It was nice while it lasted.
Blitzø stills and takes a shuddering breath. He whispers, low enough that she almost doesn’t hear the words and doesn’t know if she was supposed to hear them in the first place: “It terrifies me sometimes… The way your father loves with everything he has.”

After the events of Mastermind, Via has a late night visitor. It's not who she expects, not who she wants, but maybe it's who she needs. -

Via heard a bump up ahead, and rounding the corner saw a red tail disappear into the forgotten room of her dad's things. Were the servants looking for something in there? That made no sense.
She popped her other ear bud out and rounded the corner with a loud “HEY.”
“Ohjesusf***!” The imp climbing the shelves came crashing down, grabbing at every box within reach on his way. He hit the floor hard beneath a cascade of clothes and books and a flutter of Via's childhood drawings.
“What the hell are you doing here?” She said, because sitting up from the mountain of her dad's things was the man who caused all of this in the first place.

Octavia finds not just any imp going through her dad's packed-away things, but THE imp. What could he possibly be looking for?

Summary
Loona has a new found obsession for the Northern Lights, Blitz is almost a hundred percent sure passed down from Stolas, which to him made it even sweeter.
So as the supportive dad and boyfriend he is, he of course took them to Earth on a chilly night, somewhere he knew was lonely enough to be able to relax for a few hours. No disguises, far away from the disturbance and suffocation of the city or hell. Not much difference between those two anyway.
He expected it, Stolas looking far away into the sky, a dissociated stare in his eyes, because by this point he knew the bird would travel far away in his thoughts, unraveling thousands of mini debates in his mind that would drive him insane. Where he was the judge that declared his sentence repeatedly, and he was the harshest of all when it came to himself.
After noticing his daughter was also aware, they shared an understanding look, the imp nodded and cleared his throat. “Change of plans birdy, we’re making hot soup!” He said enthusiastically, they would make the night much warmer than an Earth’s winter. Perfect? Not yet, not without the owl girl. But all theirs.
