Summary
Kaladin mentally and physically overdoes it, ends up running extremely low on Stormlight and on the brink of collapsing.
He goes to Adolin and Shallan’s rooms for help, but can’t help his thoughts from turning dark and the wretch from taking over. A story of my fave polyamorous throuple caring for, tending to and looking after dear Kaladin when he won’t take care of himself.
(This takes place sometime after RoW, but honestly this is self indulgent whump/hurt/comfort/soft gentle fluff for my own pleasure so who cares when it happens?)

After their return from Hearthstone, Kaladin had been dismissed from active duty by Dalinar, giving him time to heal. Kaladin must now learn to grapple with his new role in Urithiru, wanting to be left alone in his misery, while also grappling with his newfound feelings for Adolin, who proposes a unique relationship between him, Shallan, and Kaladin. All they want is for Kaladin to be happy. And they can all be happy, together.

Inspired by Chaper 12 of RoW. What if one of Shallan's truths were admitting her feelings for Kaladin to Kaladin? Canon divergent AU where, Veil comes to Kaladin instead of Adolin. It's a slow-ish burn because spren and the damnably honorable prude that is Kaladin Stormblessed. Most of Chapters 1-4 is Veil/Shallan/Kaladin lead up with some angst, feelings, puns, fluff, needling banter, and pesky spren thrown in. The dubious consent is pretty tame and is over by Chapter 2. The Shalladin smut really starts in Chapter 5 and the Kadolin smut starts in Chapter 9, and continues in Chapter 11, if that's why you're here, but there’s some gay panic, Adolin forces Kaladin to take a spa-level bath, and the spren become a scourge on human intimacy in between. Chapter 12 is mostly Shakadolin fluff and merciless puns.

Chaos ensues when Adolin avoids both she and Kaladin out of pure embarrassment, Kaladin thinks Adolin is avoiding him because of how he acted towards the prince on a night they both drank too much, and Shallan is trying to fix this hiccup and maybe have a solution that has all three of them happier off then there were before.
