Summary
Jazz has a few problems. Problem one, the Autobots are being poisoned. Two, figuring out who’s behind it and stopping them is proving harder than anyone expected. Three, he’s found a fix for both of those but it depends on Soundwave, the most loyal Decepticon in the whole army, helping him.
And if there isn’t a good reason for Soundwave to cooperate with him? Well, Jazz will just have to make one.
“An easy course and following winds,” Jazz says to the two aliens first, because the possibility of imminent violence is no excuse to violate social niceties with these guys. And then just for Soundwave, he says in English, “You know these guys are planning to screw you over, right?”
He steps lightly into the room, moving so casually you’d never know it puts him in point blank shooting distance of a sworn enemy.
“Hold your fire for just a sec,” he continues, baiting the hook, “and I’ll prove it.”

Because Ratchet needed a medical assistant, and the Autobots needed someone who it didn't matter if their mind got read by the ominous prisoner held so carefully confined in a secured cell.
So, that's how you met Soundwave. Big scary bad guy all locked up and rusting away, but that's not how things stay between you.

Another wandering tale. Whimsical. Less structured and edited than my more serious novels. Yet another tale written for fun and emotional therapy. This tale has a lot more emotional angst and hurt, especially due to the nature of the imprisonment / captor circumstances.

Humans are adaptable. Aggressively so. Disturbingly so. They claw with a need to endure for as long as their pitiful lifespan allows them. Cybertronians may have their slow pulsing Sparks, but a human soul is like a flickering flame.

Summary
Most people like to believe they’d survive the apocalypse. The twins were certain they’d be the first to go, back when humans nearly annihilated Earth through war and disease. But the end of the world turned out to reward adaptability in the worst situations and utter stubborness.
Against their own expectations, they survived. Then kept surviving, even when navigating being taken in by alien robots that call them 'sparklings'.
They moved like the twin stars that made up the gemini constellation—gravity damning them to never be apart, rules never sticking and authority never landing in their orbit. The twins listened to no one but each other, operating on the same wavelength and ignoring everything else… except, apparently, other twins who seem wired the same way (to everyone's surprise).

Earth barely managed to avoid its own annihilation thanks to the last second assistance of new alien visitors. Slowly, civilizations that had been nearly destroyed through nuclear warfare, famine, and disease are rebuilt with the Autobots' help.
But the Autobots' assistance isn't entirely altruistic. Earth has something they want. Because mixed with the millions of others are humans with spark signatures and the potential to become sparklings. And the Autobots who had believed they were doomed to a slow extinction, have no intention of letting their new little ones go.

Summary
Prowl could have been having a much worse day (75%.)
Prowl could have also been having a much better day. (43.8%.)Overall, his day was approaching ‘not great.’
You could make a case for said ‘not great’-ness starting when he first accidentally warped into an experimental Quintesson weapons base with violently angry little foot soldiers that seemed to have a love for biting at anything they could reach, but Prowl really considered it starting when the unfamiliar mech limped at unsafe speeds into the desecrated room with him.

Clay settled in, heart rate steady. Years of hunting taught him patience, and even when sweat rolled down his back and bugs chewed at his neck, he didn’t move. Just lined up the crosshairs. Whispered under his breath.
“Come on now…”
Thunder cracked. But not from the sky.
The whole damn forest lit up in white. Blinding. Hot. Like staring into the heart of a welder’s torch. The trees seemed to melt in the flash. Clay’s body jerked—his muscles seized—and his last thought before the world yanked itself sideways was “That weren’t no lightning…”
Another pulse of agony as his very identity was branded into the new machine that was replacing him. No, not replacing—rewriting. He couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t scream. So he fought.
He kicked at the blackness, punched the airless void, tried to crawl away from the pressure crushing him flat—tried to punch God, or whatever machine-devil was pulling the strings. He didn’t care. He was Clay McGraw, and he wasn’t gonna go out like this. Not silent. Not broken. Another convulsion hit. His mind cracked in half, and then impact.

“HEY BIG RED!” Cliffjumper, even the Vehicons, paused at the scream from somewhere behind him, at the cluster of energon crystals. “DUCK!” It was instinct that had him automatically following the warning, his frame hitting the ground just as a volley of energon-fueled blasts that sniped the cons down. For a moment, Cliffjumper thought he had found a fellow ‘Bot hiding on Earth. But when he looked back, instead, he found a fleshy human, but their arm was a glowing metal barrel instead?
Yuu knows why and how they’re here on this Earth, they just don’t know who brought them here when they should’ve been with Death in the end. Who the hell is Primus? Oh well, all they do know is that they needed to help Primus’ ‘kids’, whatever that meant. They got a cool upgrade to their forms though, not to mention their weapon modes are now big as hell on the account of their new alien meisters. Also, Energon tastes funky, they like the crystal stuff better for the crunch... What was their mission again?
Aka, Alien God sends a semi-feral lil' armory to aid his kids. There are various untold side-effects from this single action. "Whoops." Says Primus, unconcerned. More at 11.
