“911, what’s your emergency?”
Eddie’s voice cracked. “I need an ambulance. Now. My friend—he’s collapsed. He’s burning up. I think he’s severely dehydrated. Maybe worse.”
The dispatcher asked for the address. Eddie gave it, fast, precise. Years of training kicked in, but his heart was racing, his throat tight.
“Is he conscious?”
“Barely,” Eddie said. “He’s not responding properly. He’s been alone. I don’t know how long.”
He hung up and knelt beside Buck again, brushing damp hair from his forehead. “Help’s coming,” he murmured. “Just hold on.”
OR
The aftermath of the lawsuit takes its toll on Buck and he slowly disappears without being seen by anyone.

Buck glances at him, brow furrowing. “Thanks?”
Eddie grins, unbothered by Buck’s confusion. “It’s a compliment,”
“I’m flattered,” Buck says in a deadpan tone. He tries to act like he doesn’t care, but his ears are hot. He knows they’re red at the tips.
“Never noticed how good you are with your hands, though,” Eddie says in a low, gravelly voice.
Buck fumbles with the hose a little bit, but his instincts kick in and he catches it.
OR
When Eddie comes back from Texas, he starts flirting with Buck. Buck, believing that Eddie is straight, starts to go insane about it.

"Don't do anything to him," Tommy manages, heartbeat throbbing and throbbing. "Please."
Wilbur frowns, but it's Techno who steps forward. "Tommy, he's not going to do anything," Techno tells him cautiously. "You don't need to worry, alright?"
To you, Tommy would say, if he was stronger. He's not going to do anything to you.
But he doesn't. Tommy keeps his mouth shut—whatever it takes to stay.
When Techno and Wilbur Soot-Watson anger a bully, it shouldn't be an issue. They are as untouchable as they can get, for students anyway.
It's unfortunate that Tommy, their foster brother, isn't. Being their soft spot, it only makes sense that he becomes the next target.

“I mean… yeah, let’s go with that in case this ends up on the news,” Siren shrugged, looking back at Tommy. “I kidnapped you, right?”
“Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”
or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).

Seven years later, Wilbur was staring at Tommy in disbelief, his hand clutched to his stomach as he felt Tommy’s pain. His legs gave out from under him, onto the same floor Tommy had silently almost-died on, and cried out in desperation. “Tommy! Tell me it didn’t hurt this much for you!”
Tommy sighed sadly, his lungs tight, “I tried to tell you. You told me to grow up.”
And Wilbur remembered.-
Or, Tommy and Wilbur get their powers swapped. And the SBI discovers just how painful Tommy’s powers really are.

Tommy doesn't know what's happening.
Today was his eleventh birthday, and his father had told him to go and pick some flowers whilst he set up the house for a small party. It He was so excited, knowing that his friends would be there, and the kind people of his village would be there, and it was going to be so fun.
But now he can't move. He's stuck in a trance as he stares up at the sky, a basket of lilies in his arms. His eyes are wide and blank, mouth tilted down somewhat. It's the expression someone would make if they were to notice something was off.

Tommy falters a little. Fake. Fake brother. Good actor. He swallows. “Uh- yeah. Yeah.”
or, SBI are actors on a sitcom, and of course, they play a happy family- unfortunately for Tommy, the lines between fact and fiction are easily blurred and hard to define.

Wilbur’s tail fell to the floor and his eyes widened in horror. “Is this an abuse case? Oh, I’m going to need to find a therapist, and I’ll learn their triggers— Do you have a list? What about—“
“Wilbur,” Puffy interrupted, Wilbur’s mouth snapping shut, “this is one of the worst cases I’ve ever seen, but that’s not why I thought you might not take it.”
“Why…?”
“So, the reason the Federation is okay with this is because every other foster home has declined. I also put in a good word for you.”
“Get to the point, please. The stress is killing me,” Wilbur groaned.
“Okay… I’ll… He’s a— I’m just going to send you the file,” she sighed.
Wilbur could hear the distant clicking and quickly rolled his chair over to his computer. As soon as he typed in his password, the files popped up.
Wilbur opened them.
“Just… have an open mind,” Puffy encouraged.
The file loaded, and immediately Wilbur’s jaw dropped.
“A human?!?”
or, Human tommy is in need of love. Wilbur has a lot of love to give.

Tommy licked his lips, digging into the meal. He didn’t notice Tubbo sneakily grabbing his cup, pouring something inside and shoving it back into place.
Tommy swallowed his last bite, grabbing the goblet and throwing it back. Liquid drizzled down his chin, the boy licking his lips with a satisfied “ahh.”
Tubbo smiled at him, quickly guzzling his plate down as well.
Suddenly, Tubbo latched into Tommy’s arm, startling the boy as he stood up.
“Wha- Tubbo?” Tommy questioned as the brunet dragged him down the halls. “Where are we going?”
Tubbo stayed silent, a determined look on his face.
Tommy’s eyes widened as he realized what path they were taking. “Wilbur’s office? Tubs, why are you taking me there?”
Or, Tommy is abused and Tubbo gives him a truth potion so that he’ll finally talk to someone about it.

Wilbur groaned and let his head crash into the soft pillows below, “But I don’t know what it is! I just- I keep feeling like- like there’s something off. Look at my nest!”
Phil glanced around. Yep. It was a bit bigger than before.
“I keep expanding it! Phil, please, I can’t get sick. Not right now.”
Phil and Techno laughed, causing Wilbur to look at them with confusion, “What?”
“Oh, mate. It’s very clear what’s happening.” Phil said with a grin.
Wilbur tilted his head in question.
Phil’s grin turned into a smirk, “You… have fledgling fever.”
Wilbur’s eyes widened and he scrambled up, getting stuck in the blankets and nearly falling over while Techno cackled.
“No!” He squawked, “I don’t have fledgling fever!”
Phil continued to smirk, “Oh yeah? Hm, let’s count up all the signs: you’ve been feeling like something is missing, even when your entire family is in your nest, you’ve expanded your nest for some odd reason…”
Or, Wilbur gets fledgling fever and Tommy just so happens to be the child his instincts attach themselves to. Oh, and he's human.
