Summary
Iskandar is back in Waver's life in London, and with him Waver's life changes.
In the spirit of why I'm drawn to their relationship, it's a bit of everything. From goofy, silly comic relief to deeper discussions, honesty, and some of the waxing philosophical we all put up with from time to time in Zero, my goal was to encompass their relationship, all the fun but all the serious notes I could. Bonus: some cameos of Waver's students!

‘Boyfriend’ wasn’t the right word. It was flimsy, casual. It felt too light for the permanent, heavy mix of emotions in his soul regarding Iskandar. Servant and master turned king and subject- yet also friends with the previous push and pull of a mentor and student relationship. It was all too much to pin down, even ten years after losing Iskandar and having him back again. Their physical relationship had started soon after he’d brought Iskandar back, half embraces and close proximity turning to kisses and close hugs. What Greek definition of love resided inside him? It had been about a month and he still didn’t know.

While Lord El-Melloi II’s initial summoning had been somewhat hectic, filled with fire, brimstone and the wreckage of a city he’d hoped to never see again, his introduction to Chaldea itself was an event with little fanfare. There had been the minor issue of the entirety of humanity going up in flames but all things considered, Lord El-Melloi II had more or less settled into a rather comfortable niche in the following weeks.
And then Iskandar was summoned sometime later...

Summary
The Gotei 13 is launching an operation in Hueco Mundo, again. As usual, Ichigo is skipping class to be there. Unsure of which world he wants to belong to, haunted by what happened in Las Noches, Ichigo is going through the motions of helping the Gotei 13 prepare for war and search for the remaining Espada.
When he finds Ulquiorra Cifer, whole and enigmatic and as beautiful has he remembered him, Ichigo cannot stay away. Slowly, they explore the ways that both of them have changed. And as they unravel their past together, two half-monsters find the beginning that was lost at the end of their fight.

It sounded like a good idea, really! Sparring with someone who doesn’t have a reason to go easy on you, who’s not a suit of armour and has reasonable weak points, and who’s skilled in areas of fighting that Ed’s never seen in the west before. The perfect opportunity to get stronger without using alchemy, right?
Unfortunately, he didn’t think of the potential feelings that could arise when doing hand-to-hand combat with another man in the Amestrian heat; a very attractive and shirtless man, much to Ed’s dismay. He’s not wrong for recognizing that Ling is objectively handsome, but he’s also definitely not just doing that right now.

He asked me about, you know, my life and I was like Uhhh and he was like Sounds like you do absolutely no introspection, idiot. Also you need to obsess over things to live. Absolutely unbelievable."
"Wow," Al says. "Did he really say that? That's a little harsh."
"No," Ed admits. "He said it sounded like I hadn't figured out how to want things for myself and that it was okay to do that. Well, he did basically say the thing about obsessing over stuff. And here I am!!"
"Wow," Al says again.
"I know," Ed says. "Devastating."
