Tonight was his first show since going sober - his first real one, anyway, not backing up Fiona or doing a crowd little warm up for a Queen - and they all wanted it to go well for him. It “not being a big deal” had been his mantra for over two weeks now. But Clover knew when Qrow was nervous. He wanted this just as bad.

Clover is *also* pretty sure he's dead. Waking up in a hospital room challenges this idea and everything else he's accepted to this point. But his efforts to fix things rapidly go sideways. Turn Grimm, even.
Salem is not dead. She's going to break Atlas, and no one, no group, no mutually pining set of idiots is going to stop her. Probably. Right?

Jimmy's view of the Copper King has always been that of a wise old ruler who keeps a cool head and seemingly always knows what to do in any given situation. When the Cod Empire is assailed by a sudden blizzard and the two of them are forced to flee to the castle, this idea still holds up. Yet when he voices this to Pixl while they wait out the storm, he is met not by gratitude but with laughter.
Pixl may be wise, and he is definitely old, but the journey he took to get there was filled to the brim with failures, clumsiness and, quite frankly, idiocy. And what better way to fill out the waiting than with a tale?

Lying on the floor of their living space having a crisis on the verge of crying was not where Ranboo was expecting to be at 3 in the morning. This was also nowhere near where Tubbo expected his best friend and roommate to be when he came back from the bathroom after the stream, but he just lays down beside Ranboo and stays because he senses Ranboo needs someone to be there for them.

They’ve got an adopted son, 17-year-old Techno Blade-Watson. They’re all some form of mob hybrid. I’m not sure when they’ll be here, but they were told around 3 or earlier. They live pretty nearby, so they’ll probably be here once they’re done preparing,” Ranboo's social worker, whose name he couldn’t remember, explained the situation. She didn’t even try to avoid looking Ranboo in the eyes, but in her defense, he had never had the guts to tell anyone that it made him uncomfortable and no one ever noticed how he tensed up whenever anyone looked into his eyes.

or, after being in foster care for most of his life, Ranboo, at age 14, gets put into a foster family that might be different from the others. He learns how to trust and love through the family of Kristin, Phil, and their son, Techno Watson. He even makes some friends throughout his journey to speedrun a somewhat normal childhood.
