An interesting exploration of Jayce’s trauma by the end of the series. The themes of self-destructive absolution were a mildly unexpected addition to the horror of the liminal space that was the cabin in the woods. The house. If you really must. I have little to say about Viktor, though from the limited glimpse into him we got from Jayce’s perspective he was also not unbothered by the significance of eating himself out of guilt. The Ouroboros was a delightful motif for the existence of the house. Overall, an interesting read.

Summary

A perfect feedback loop of mental deterioration.
In the aftermath of killing Emma, Sam tries to cope with a memory that isn't from hell and realizes that neither of them is okay.

i could literally feel the way dick didn’t know what was real or not i didn’t know what was going on but i could still place every event that was referenced the writing is That Good. plus seeing all the little details that differ between dick and jason pov is amazing, like with the bloody fingerprints on bruce’s armor. overall a really awesome fic with fantastic attention to detail.

if there is one fanfic i could recommend for the rest of time it would be this one !! this has truly blown me away and i was hooked the entire time reading it - so much so i literally had to open the google docs to write down my thoughts after losing a comment one to many times. this author is so talented, i’m in awe of the way they write and their characterisation of all the characters is phenomenal.
the metaphors they had were beautiful, hiding means and references in the text and puzzles for you to find made the reading experience so much fun — i loved searching up references and seeing what i could find.
