With his pure white hair and silver-white garb and armour, the young man stands in stark contrast to his surroundings, the holy city’s torches casting him in an almost ethereal glow. It is an image so out of place in the darkness of Amphoreus’ evernights, for the man is so radiant, so beautiful, so seemingly untainted in innocence, and so unlike the horrors and atrocities that Mydeimos has borne witness to during the time he's spent roaming the world.
He is certain he would be captivated by the sight, if not for the greatsword the man is holding, as well as the piercing stare from those bright—yet empty—blue eyes.

“There you go, being quiet again.” Kaveh laughs. It sounds tragic. When Alhaitham doesn’t respond, Kaveh hums as if in thought. “How about I guess? I feel like after all this time… I should be pretty good at reading your mind.”
Alhaitham folds his arms over his chest. The only light is the dull green of their visions and the vague, white moonlight hidden behind the clouds. None of it is enough to see Kaveh in detail, but he can sense that Kaveh has turned and is standing close to him.
“You’re currently thinking this is stupid, and that I’m being ridiculous.”
“Miraculous. A prognostication worthy of an oracle.”
“Shut up. I’m more interested in what’s behind that, though. The things you said when I couldn’t hear you. It was about me, wasn’t it?”

It was a fruitless question. No matter how hard Khaslana searched within, he couldn't find a single wish spawned from his own desire. However, as an old friend, the swordsman supposed... he could humour her with a simple confession.
"I... just want to rest."
After everything, Khaslana chooses to 'live' in solitude, but the Chrysos Heirs now harbour a different wish for him to fulfil.
Having now outlived his purpose, he decides to grant them their newest prayers, eventually.

Briefly, a look rushed over Dazai Osamu’s face— an emotion so quick, Chuuya couldn’t put a name to it. Then, his face mellowed out into a smile that had Chuuya itching for a fight; that screamed I think I’m the smartest person in the room, with just enough smugness and condescension to really rile him up.
“No,” Dazai said and looked weirdly vulnerable, like he was admitting some big secret. “No, you don’t.”
Or: the fight against the DOA ends badly for everyone involved. Now, the only person capable of ending everything before it even happens, would rather be dead and buried alongside his friends than deal with time travel of all things. Worse, when whatever adverse reaction No Longer Human had to the book has burned Dazai off the timeline as a whole.
