Katsuki doesn’t mean to overhear.
He’s just passing the common room on his way to the kitchen, a protein bar in one hand and a scowl ready for whoever left the fridge open again, when he catches Midoriya’s voice.
“I mean,” Deku says, laughing nervously, “it’s not like anyone would ask me. I’ll probably just skip it.”
And Katsuki—already halfway past the doorway—freezes.
What the fuck did he just hear?
He peeks around the corner, just enough to see Izuku sitting on the couch, hunched over a history textbook with Iida and Uraraka beside him. He's smiling like it's not a big deal, like his words aren’t absolutely insane.
“Are you serious?” Uraraka asks, frowning. “You’d skip prom?”
Izuku shrugs. “I mean… I’m not exactly prom material.”
Katsuki almost storms in right then and there to scream that that’s the dumbest shit he’s ever heard, but he doesn’t.
He backs away, slow and quiet.
Because now he has a plan.

Or: Izuku participates in the "hug your family members and get their reaction challenge." Except he keeps doing it, and Katsuki gradually just let's him. Until miscommunication is made and they have to talk about their feelings.
This is just chaos. Fluffy, sweet, class 1A shenanigans.

Summary
Mikumo Akatani, a gloomy and sleep-deprived teenager was born into a world where everyone has superpowers called quirks. Despite this so called 'perfect' world, things aren't fair for him. He was born quirkless, and left to defend for himself.
However, things aren't that terrible for him. He has his clingy, childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugo. Although, he does annoy the shit out of Mikumo, all the while being way too cute. (Mikumo blames that on witchcraft.)
And somehow, the both of them managed to get into the prestigious hero school, UA.
And thus, with the help of Mikumo's gadgets, custom weaponry, and slight obsession with guns and sour candy, he'll become the world's first quirkless Hero, or die trying.
Or he'll die from being too gay.
Either way is plausible.

Shouta’s plan had been ill-defined and desperate from the start, but he figures the important shit boiled down to, “Change as little as possible, make sure Midoriya doesn’t get himself killed, and stock up on lychee jelly pouches because that flavor got discontinued three years from now.” Keeping it simple’s always better, and he’s normally good at improvising.
Somewhere along the way, he must’ve fucked up since now he has:
A quirkless problem child hanging off of his every word
His best friend going through a sexuality crisis thanks to said problem child’s mom
His other best friend clinging to him like a security blanket
Some two-bit mob boss threatening him with bouquets of daffodils
To wring the number one hero’s fucking neck for not telling him anything useful before sending him decades into the past
All he did was walk Izuku Midoriya home. It wasn’t meant to turn into whatever mess this is.

Nedzu adds Izuku to a group chat in hopes for some good old chaos and gets exactly that. Now Izuku has to deal with the repercussions. They aren’t necisarrly bad, he now just has a whole bunch of heroes who would kill for him. And a few that have basically adopted him.
