Summary

Summary
Although Hutch's partner is a mere Beta, Starsky is the only partner Hutch wants. As an Alpha, he’s never questioned Starsky’s gender. Alphas don’t question Betas about their lives, and they certainly don’t socialize with Omegas, perish the thought.
Hutch’s only regret is that Starsky’s not an Alpha. Fortunately, Betas have been officially allowed in the Police Department in the Beta Civil Rights era of the 1970s, which is great progress in this dogmatic society. Institutionalized inequality amongst the genders is still in place and Omegas are categorically banned from working for a living.
Hutch's life is turned upside down when his Captain reveals a sensitive and dangerous secret Starsky’s been keeping for all the years they've been partners. Starsky’s paid a huge price to keep his secret from Hutch and the world.
Hutch now finds himself questioning the societal order where Omegas are kept from participating in public life. What can he do to change things for the better?
Meanwhile, their unplanned heat and rut cycles threaten to spiral them both out of control.

Peter's attack on Kate at the station changed everything. Noah Stilinski was the alpha, and he had to deal with the regular business of being the sheriff of a large county without turning furry. Chris had to make sure Gerard’s visit didn’t ruin his career, his life, or his family in his father’s obsessive war against the supernatural. Allison had to decide if she and Scott had a chance after all, while dealing with the fact that her family was full of creepy sociopaths. Derek Hale didn’t want to deal with any of it, especially not the alpha who's taken his sister’s place.
