A squeal of static drowned out a sudden wheeze from Lucifer, Alastor's cheeks flaming at the implication. Heat sparked in his chest and crept up the back of his neck, something behind his ribs twisting as Lucifer stuttered out a denial.
“Ha – me and – and him? Ha, no, I mean – no. We're just... just working together. For Charlie,” Lucifer finished up, his voice going a little weak as gold spread over his pale face. His gaze drifted over to where Charlie was trying on dresses, a tiny imp seamstress tugging and poking at her all the while.
“For Charlie,” Alastor echoed.

Summary
Alastor's ears twisted and swivelled, following the sounds of Lucifer's movements. Every soft tread of his hooves was loud, even muffled as they were against the rug. His own breath was louder, his pulse worse still – trying to steal his attention, trying to make him lose track of where Lucifer was.
A thrill raced down his spine, his tail quivering against his wrists. Folded over one another, as though Lucifer wanted to mock him for his oft-adopted posture when walking about the hotel – but there was no mockery here. Lucifer had tied his wrists, his arms, all so Alastor couldn't touch. It didn't matter what pretty promises he made, the deals he offered – Lucifer had rejected them all.
So here he was. Kneeling on his haunches, stripped to his skin, arms bound behind his back – waiting.

Alastor glanced up from the book he was reading and made a contemplative humming noise. He had noticed a particularly Scrooge-like aspect to Lucifer’s normal melancholy of late, but he hadn’t quite connected that to the actual holiday.
Christmas was celebrated even in hell, but it wasn’t as if the average sinner was out and about celebrating the birth of Christ. Alastor was quite certain it had considerably more to do with getting gifts than anything else.
“You love presents,” Alastor pointed out, “and feasts.”
“Sure, but not Christmas,” Lucifer folded his arms over his chest and scowled, “I am not celebrating Dad impregnating some lady with an aspect of himself.”
