And then Bruce’s arms fold him in closer. “Shh,” he murmurs. “It’s okay.”

Summary
Red Hood knew Dick's identity. He knew the identities of all the bats, actually. Bruce was pissed and Tim was determined to solve this mystery like usual.
Dick can't be bothered to care all that much, seeing as the crime lord wasn't using that information for anything other than mocking them.
He seems to keep running into the masked man and, weirdly enough, he doesn't seem to hate Dick.
Well, he's getting mixed signals, but he's pretty sure he isn't going to kill him.
Jason didn't know why Dick kept showing up in Crime Alley to see Red Hood. He hates him and Bruce and Tim (part of him knows he's lying about that).
He just wants the man to leave him alone (even if he feels more like himself when he's around).
It would be easier to say that if Dick didn't look two seconds away from having a breakdown (Jason isn't far behind him).

Prince Scar was always going to die, and perhaps it should’ve been obvious that if Grian swore to be by his side until that moment, he’d have to be complicit in his death. Grian wanted victory, he wanted crowds cheering his name, the riches, the fame, he wanted it all because he thought it’d make him happy. It will, if he can ever forget how Scar smiles when he knows he’s going to die. Scar is already burning to ash in front of him and they haven’t even said goodbye yet.
They both know they’re standing on a grave. They both know Grian isn’t going to play the gracious hero, plead morals over greed- he’s not going to be the bigger man.
Perhaps even more painful than the fact that Scar was always going to die, was that Grian was always going to be the one to kill him.

Or, Grian is a general entrusted to help Prince Scar lead his troops through the war because, as he learns, the man is an utter fool who doesn’t even know how to wield a sword.
By the time the war is over, Grian thinks he might be a fool as well.

It felt like he was submerged under water. Clark felt a world away, even though he was sat across the table worrying over Dick.

It didn’t really matter which “him” he was speaking of, he missed all of them. The hole that every loss had left felt like a bottomless valley, and Dick wasn’t sure how much more he could take.

Death had tainted him. Dick knew that for sure. He wasn’t pulling his punches, not that much, not anymore—he ignored the news headlines of ‘NIGHTWING BRUTALISES COMMON STREET THIEF’ because he hadn’t been some common street thief. He had cornered a woman, not a poor woman, just a woman, who had nothing besides the clothes on her back, and threatened to keep her mouth quiet for her.
The man had deserved the death that came later. And Dick didn’t feel guilty about it. Sure, maybe a flicker of something, but—people like that? There’s no rehabilitation for them. There’s no hope. There’s some— some sick desire somewhere inside them, to maim and cause agony, cause harm to innocents.
But… Dick was not innocent, unlike what his logic suggested. He was something else. A toxin, he was poisonous.

“My mom died,” Buck says flatly, like reciting a fact he read somewhere. He adds a small shrug, as if that explains it. It doesn’t feel real. The words sit in the air, weightless and strange.
Eddie frowns. Bobby shifts closer.
“Are you okay?” Bobby asks gently.
Buck blinks at him, then gives a quick nod, too fast to be convincing. “Yeah,” he says. His voice is thin, brittle. “Did you want me to start lunch? I was thinking maybe that cheesy broccoli bake.”
Eddie’s brows knit together. “Buck…” he says carefully, voice low and steady.
“Or chili,” Buck continues, his hands smoothing out a crease in his jacket like that’s the thing that matters. “I think we’ve got enough ground beef.”
“Buck,” Eddie says again, firmer this time.
Buck’s hands still. He finally looks up, meeting Eddie’s eyes.
Oh.
His mom died.

But Wally was gone, and Dick was in his bare office, desperately tearing through the first letters written with 'Dear Rob' in the messy writing Dick knew and loved.
Dick wiped at his tears. He didn’t need anyone coming to find him like this, especially after he insisted that he could handle cleaning out his and Wally’s old flat by himself. He looked over to the box of letters.
Wally had written him so, so many letters. The most recent one had been from a few days before he died, if the date on the envelope was to be believed, and the very first one had been from when they were kids. It had Wally’s loopy handwriting in smudged ink and on old paper.
