So maybe the interview with Nighteye had left Izuku a little... frustrated, but it was fine. It was fine! He'd gotten the internship in the end, and he'd dealt with a lot more discrimination than a rigged test. There was no point in being angry when it wouldn't change anything.
But when Izuku bumped into an unusually angry stranger on the walk back to UA, he decided he should talk to All Might. Just to ask why the man never told him about Togata being a successor, that's all! And why All Might never mentioned Nighteye didn't like him before sending him to the man's agency! Small things. Just some small things he wanted to discuss.
It's not long after that Izuku was realizing there were much bigger things he had sitting on his chest, and the newfound urge to acknowledge them began to take over.
He felt angry.

Summary
When Dabi kidnaps Todoroki Shouto with the help of the League of Villains, his only plan is to hurt Endeavor. But his brother is not only beautiful to look at, but somehow otherwise compelling; it doesn’t harm Dabi’s plans to hurt Endeavor if he shifts gears and decides to keep Shouto and mold him into his perfect little plaything.
But there’s something about Shouto that worms its way beneath Dabi’s skin and makes him wish for connection he never had – and never thought he needed.
When Shouto is taken by the League of Villains, he expects to be used as a bargaining chip against his father. When the villain Dabi kisses him, he shifts his expectations, anticipating violence and degradation and humiliation. But while the whole situation is inherently degrading and humiliating, the anticipated violence never comes; Dabi seems to be holding back, and when he touches Shouto with kindness, something about him seems terrifyingly familiar. Finding out Dabi’s secret does nothing to dull Shouto’s interest in and care for him; if anything, he finds himself determined to protect the older brother his father discarded all those years ago, even if that means giving up on his dreams to be a hero.

Now he has a fake nephew who is still determined to take him down (outside of the house, anyway—they somehow manage to be a fully functional family when All for One isn’t doing crime). He’s read plenty of parenting books and none of them explain how to stop your kid from destroying your criminal empire.
OR: Izuku overthinks everything and intentionally gets himself kidnapped by All for One. Chaos ensues.
