This is a collection of AvatarMN's role play as the Djaqen, with various partners. These stories first appeared on Tumblr, and are presented here for archival; collected and polished.

AvatarMN's Tumblr account is AvatarMN, and he roleplays the Djaqen (and blogs tentacle art) at the Djaqen's own Tumblr.

Djaq is an alternate universe version of Rise of the Guardians' Jack Frost who is a Lovecraftian Old Ones god (the white sheep of the family). He was known as the Kraken, and brings consentacles and healing cock to the needy. Read about him in stories written solo by his creator in the Djaqen's own series here on AO3, and see what he looks like at Tumblr.

Information about guest stars and their characters can be found in notes to the individual stories which they collaborated on, and any other writings outside of their partnership with AvatarMN and the Djaqen on their own dashboards.

  5. Summary

In an alternate Remnant, The Grimm are not malicious beasts that roam the planes, but ghostly apparitions born from the darkest pits of human despair, who live only to eat what remains of the poor soul that spawned it. The world has found a way to combat this darkness without suppressing it – in this world, Performers are taught the highest forms of music and dance to inspire joy and goodness, and when needed, catharsis, within those at most risk of succumbing. Each kingdom is equipped with its own Performers Academy, but one particular school in Vale has a course that isn't offered anywhere else in all of Remnant.

Follow the stories of the students attending the Last Resort Class at Beacon Academy, taught by Professor Qrow Branwen. Each student has wound up there through all manner of events, and they all have been broken or bent by the world in all manner of ways – will they perish under the weight of themselves, or will they learn to flourish?

    Summary

When Haytham Kenway breathed his last, he didn't believe in ghosts. As it so happens, it's rather difficult to continue denying the existence of something when he has, entirely against his will, found himself as precisely that something.

Lingering on as a ghost, though, is anything but ideal. It's terribly boring to be confined to the bounds of the cemetery he was buried in, unable to be seen or heard by anyone who deigns to visit him in death.

And then someone arrives who can hear him. Someone who knew him rather well, as much as anyone truly did, in life. Shay Cormac is in significantly worse shape than he had been, when they spoke for the last time—and that's ignoring the fact that he isn't breathing, either.

Kintsugi (noun) the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by sealing the cracks with gold

That’s when Chayanne noticed the bright pink hair, and his eyes turned huge.

“Holy fucking shit, you look like the potato man.”

    The arm supporting him stiffened.

“What did you just call me?”

Or, the eggs wake up in an unfamiliar land, with some rather familiar faces.

    Summary

Ratonhnhaké:ton has been what others might call a vampire for twenty years. It hasn't been easy. As far as everyone but his daughter knows—and for a time, even she didn't—he died the night he became like this. A part of him, the part that could walk in the sun and wasn't as badly affected by fire, died that night, too.

It hasn't been all bad. Io:nhiòte grew up to do what he could not, following the trail of their people and his village north until she found it. She's been happier there. Even though he has to keep his distance, even though it's safer for them all that he remains an unknown guardian, even though she has grown older over these past two decades and he has not... Ratonhnhaké:ton isn't unsatisfied with the role he has found himself in. He hasn't met another like him since reuniting with his daughter, something he cannot complain about.

And then, one night, Ratonhnhaké:ton meets someone who likely believed him to be as dead as she believed the reverse—someone like him, someone he'd known before he left being an Assassin behind with the rest of his life—and everything changes.

    Summary

As far as the rest of the world knows, Desmond Miles died on December 21st, 2012. It's as much of a surprise to him when he wakes up after the end as it would be to anyone else—other people who are supposed to have died way before him, and clearly didn't, excluded.

If someone told Desmond before he got himself kidnapped that vampires were real, he would've laughed and asked how much they had to drink, because vampires fell into the same mental category for him as the Templars. If someone told him the same thing after that, he still wouldn't have believed them, even now that he knew firsthand that the Templars were all too real.

It's kind of hard to discount the truth when it's staring him in the face and also looks way too much like his ancestors. They all should be dead.

But here's the thing: Desmond should be too.

    Summary

The year is 1868. This comes as something of a surprise to Edward Kenway, given that the last he remembers, it was 1735. The Assassins fighting to free London are definitely more surprised to discover that he's still alive—though alive is a strong word for being what most would call a vampire. But they're all still Assassins, and the city of London has been under tightening Templar control since the rumors of Edward's death were greatly exaggerated, so he might as well tag along for the Frye twins' crusade against Crawford Starrick. The world may have changed significantly over the last 133 years, but Templars still are Templars, Assassins are still Assassins, and Pieces of Eden are still very capable of wreaking havoc in the wrong hands—or repairing it, in the right ones.
