    If he breathed too deeply, he'd choke on the harsh perfumes and fragrant shampoos that permeated his flimsy cotton comforts. Beyond that, he'd discerned the harsh odors of brandished iron and demoralized bodies – a far cry from the familiar forests that should've been his next destination upon leaving Clock Town once and for all.

    Link felt so cheated.

    Or: The Hero of Time enters the War of Eras and has to come to terms with another adventure while proving his capabilities all over again. For Captain Link, it's hard not to see him for the child he is, and they both silently decide that they must help one another.

    Mainly Whump prompt stories but will probably end up getting other hurt/comfort stories too.
    Time is my fave so he'll go through hell more often than not. The others will have notion every now and then too. Yet, Time's not happy of that one. XD

It was wrapped in some loose bandages, the skin visible in the gaps a dusty and disgusting gray. Its face didn't look… Hylian, though. It had two depressions on its face, meant for eyes. Instead of a mouth, it just had a hole filled with teeth.

    Link Shi Eldridge.

    That was the newborn baby’s name. His parents were happy and so delighted of having him in their family. They hadn’t cared about the gender as long as the child would be born alive and, hopefully, healthy. And this boy was a dream come true for them.

    Sadly, the just born baby boy would not learn his real name until about three decades later. Until then, for 21 years, he would know the name of Sprite. After that, out of his own choice, he would change it into Time.

    When that change of name came he would have a shattered heart and quite well nothing to lose. Yet, that would be the moment he’d see the Luck Bird while knowing its meaning. At then the Lon-Lon Ranch would once again be brought to life as it would become to be the sanctuary for seven young boys…
