Husk pinched the bridge of his nose, heaving a heavy sigh. How the fuck did he end up in situations like this? When he looked back at the deer, he found his ears were all but plastered to the top of his head and sweat was beginning to bead at his brow. “Do you know what you took?” he finally asked.
“I didn’t take anything.”
Which, reading between the lines, meant… “Succubus? Incubus?”
“…no and no. I…” His nose scrunched up. “…may have ingested something I shouldn’t have.”
“Such as?”
“A spider demon. There was a dark, viscous liquid coming from its mouth. I thought it was blood. Why let a perfectly fresh corpse go to waste?”
“So you licked it?”
He somehow managed to scowl around his ever present smile. “I didn’t lick it! I licked my finger.”

Summary
Alastor. Radio demon, murderous asshole, smiling freak. All this, a perfectly crafted persona, a mask, a way to shove his emotions deep down so they never see the light of day. But now, this persona is starting to crack because he's starting to find himself attached. Attached to the souls he owns, to Charlie, to the hotel. But before he can let down the walls, she returns.
Lilith is back. The queen of hell herself, Charlie's mother, Lucifer's ex, the person who owns Alastor's soul. And, unlike him, she keeps her souls on a very, very tight leash.
Alastor isn't the only one suffering; Husk and Angel are dancing around the truth, Niffty has been acting more unhinged than usual, Vaggie is struggling with herself, and Lucifer is spiraling. As for Charlie, she's trying to mend her relationship with her mother while keeping her friends from destroying themselves.
As if things couldn't get worse, Vox is starting to rise to power a lot faster than he should be. Alastor knows exactly why... and how dangerous this is for all of Hell.
The fate of the hotel, and the future of Hell, hangs in the balance. -

Summary
The first year the Hunt was held, everyone assumed it was some sort of jest or formality. Get the key from around the Omega’s neck and you earned the right to remove the collar protecting his scent glands and to claim him.
They’d shown up drunk and in their formal party clothes to find Alastor, the Omega in question, dressed like he was going to war. Some of them never fully recovered.

After he lit one for himself, he held the box out to Charlie, who accepted one after a moment of hesitation. “Would anyone give a shit about these fuckers and their opinions if we weren't wired to?”

Interesting…idk how I feel about it. I relate to Lucifer too much so I’m really not liking Charlie rn, which makes me feel bad bc I can kind of understand why she’s acting like this, but also…ugh. Anyway I guess I’m curious what’s going to happen next; it says alastor/lucifer but man this is a slow af burn. I wish asmodeous had a little bit of a bigger role since he does know Lucifer better than his own daughter. I want to know more about Lucifer’s relationship w Charlie bc it’s obvious he hasn’t actually talked to her in a while and it’s like if I’m curious about the whys and how’s. Like it’s interesting to learn Charlie was a rainbow baby, so I’m curious about how that affected things other than just Lilith being overprotective. Idk I feel like we got thrown a lot of interesting shit but none of it is really expanded upon as much as I’d like. I look forward to the sequel to get more info

Summary

However, there's more to Alastor's erratic behavior than meets the eye, and unknown forces work from the shadows to disrupt everything he's come to care about.
With everything hanging in the balance, can Alastor learn to trust others before it's too late, or will he be doomed to watch everything he loves disappear by his own hand?

Seven years gone. Wasted. While that's nothing but a drop in the bucket of eternity, things still move on in the world and Hell is no different. I had to start reminding everyone of my existence, that I hadn't disappeared, that I wasn't dead. That I wasn't gone for good. I'm an entertainer, after all-- I thrive on attention. Unfortunately, attention-seeking was my undoing.
It led me to him.
I had no positive feelings about the fallen angel known as Lucifer Morningstar, but not for what someone might think. I was unimpressed with the diminutive monarch for holing himself up in his castle, away from any contact from the outside world. The weakness he showed by hiding sickened me. He took no responsibility for anything and left Hell to its own devices for longer than most of my familial tree had even existed.
Then I met him.
